Sp what's the difference in a passive sub from a regular one
@kountryboysounds16574 ай бұрын
A passive sub has no motor(magnet), it's just a cone and basket. Most use weights to adjust its tuning frequency. The more weight the lower the tuning frequency! A enclosure made with a passive sub takes up less space than one in a vented enclosure. Hope that helps and makes sense!

Try MDF two layers glued together it works very well or dual layers of 3/4” plywood in opposing directions. Plywood is made to span in one direction so if you glue them opposing they tend to cancel vibrations. You can also get plywood with 2” polyisocyanurate insulation already attached to one side to help absorb unwanted vibrations
@kountryboysounds1657 Жыл бұрын
I normally use mdf but I had some extra pieces of plywood and wanted to use them up. It's not the box itself that rattling like that, the box is solid. It's the way I have it secured down in the hatch. I have secure it better.

They are entry level because they are Chinese cheap throw away subs. Bdc4 don't hold a candle to fi, re, dc, dd, and many others. I'd put my 17yr old vega stroker 122, or 20yr old fosgate hx2's up against ANY audiopipe 12 any day of the week. Just saying.and this coming from someone who has a txx bdc4. Sounds like you're banging though.

As I said everyone has there opinions. I don't knock that but I know what I have, I know how they sound and the power they can handle. Regardless of where they come from or how much they cost I'm willing to put them up against any high $ 15s of the same rms, same power and enclosure! I'm a Basshead on a budget and just because something cost more doesn't mean it's better! How about this... how many videos have you seen where dudes were blowing txx-bdc4 15s or txx-bdc4s period?!
@jameskroth9615 Жыл бұрын
Yes they are entry lvl. Compared to those sub lines. Most of those companies compete in hard core spl comps. BUT! For its CLASS! And PRICE point! The bdc4 is a nasty contender. In its CLASS it’s only equal in performance is AmericanBass hd series, but it still cost 120$ more. Skar evl series is the same Class and get walked on by the performance of a bdc4. But the evl still cost 60$ more. I’ve done deep research in this class for a competitive budget build, the bdc4 is a monster in it class. Built rather well considering too. Easy to repair. The bdc4 15s rated at 1400 watts rms will eat 1800 watts rms all day, and that’s spoken from personal experience.
@kountryboysounds16578 ай бұрын
I understand where you are coming from but if we are talking same size sub, same rms/ motor force... then in my opinion there's nothing I wouldn't have put the 2 bdc4 15 I had up against. I'm curious about your opinion on the sound quality of these? Also, they seem to work pretty good in a sealed enclosure, how do the really low frequencies come through using the sealed enclosure?
@kountryboysounds1657 Жыл бұрын
Honestly the sound quality is great. No distortion, clean sound. For me I've always been a sealed box guy. I like the hard hitting, deep, clean, crisp bass. A sealed box can hit low depending on the subs, amp and size of enclosure. My bass is not the booming bass you do hair tricks with, it's rattles the car but inside my car it hits hella hard. Everything shakes, ears pop! And mind you my box is in my trunk, firing to the rear and my back seats are always up!

I've been looking at the American Bass and Avatar 15in subs. When these go or I get ready for something new one of them will be my next choice. Unless Audiopipe comes out with a newer 15! Hit me up when you make post the video would love to see and hear them!
sounds good but didnt see any 6x9`s
There are 6x9s in the rear deck!
@@kountryboysounds1657 looks like 2 6 inch mids , but what do i know... It's your car👍
Trust me, they are audiopipe redline 6x9 coaxial! And the fronts are 5.25 audiopipe redline series as well!
@@kountryboysounds1657 sounds good 😎👍
Subs Remind me of jl audio W7 SUBS....HAD a pair of 10s back in 2002.. they sounded great.. .
Not sure what platform they were built on but they are nice and have been more than what I expected! Thanks!
those w7's have some of the best SQ ive ever heard in person. worth the price imo.
That may be true but audiopipe is the brand I'm running until they prove themselves unworthy
Sp what's the difference in a passive sub from a regular one
A passive sub has no motor(magnet), it's just a cone and basket. Most use weights to adjust its tuning frequency. The more weight the lower the tuning frequency! A enclosure made with a passive sub takes up less space than one in a vented enclosure. Hope that helps and makes sense!
I have a tampino 15 and a blown 😢kicker comp vr 15 ill post when put them in my car there in my dads car right now
I got 2 L5 kicker 15s
Nice. You post them yet
my pops got 2 bdc4 12’s and them bitches slam
Upgrade them subs whyyyahhh!
AP is fine
Yes Sir they are. I might just 4 triple stack 10's for my OTR Big Rig. Right now I'm running 4 10's sundown E-series. Beating at the fuel pumps and at my pickups and deliveries. Lol Dudes be like dang man what you got in there, your system sounds louder than my personal vehicle. We laugh.
@MrJoey478 that feeling when others appreciate your work is hard to beat! For the price range, output and power handling I got think there's anything better!
Yes Sir. I wanna upload videos to but I be wondering how that youtube thing works, I mean when you upload using music. I see you put I don't own the rights to this song. They don't mess with you because of that.
@@MrJoey478 honestly bro I didn't know how to until my kids showed me. 🤣 I don't do it for a paycheck I do it for the love of what I'm doing. My understanding is that if you don't know the rights to a song or they're registered trade marks to one, you'll get demonitized for it. But as I said that's not why I do it. Plus some countries will restrict it due to song lyrics. I'm not fully updated on how it all works I just want to post videos, to learn and too help others learn and enjoy!
love your System 100% can’t wait till i get the bdc4, also i recommend to get the epicenter
Ain’t not destroyers don’t even look like punishers bruh 😂😂😂 the cheapest series they make
Yes I know this but as I said he can call them whatever he wants. They still sound good!
@@kountryboysounds1657 bass heads never hate on each other was just saying I got you
A 1970 Doge changer is better
They're nice but haven't had one come through the shop yet. When it does I'll post it!
Lol that plies be hitting 😂
No doubt! Damn near everything he's put out slapz!
I want trust Rockville the very cheap and they just have a 3,500 watt rockville and we had a 1001 amp and and the blue
Yeah I've heard bad things about Rockville and far as I know his stuff is still bumping good!
I bet those K6 12's sound great in person. very nice
Yes they do
I don't think these are Destroyers, I'm sure Destroyers look different
I didn't believe they were Destroyers either. When I first saw them I thought they were the k9s. But who am I to tell someone what he has in his system. Being that it is his I'd like to think he would know! Either way they are slamming!
@@kountryboysounds1657those are the Rockville k6 12s my buddy has 2 of them and I have 2 15 inch destroyers
@@mpowersyt521 I said that in my comments but I don't knock anyone on their setups. I'm just a basshead that loves bass!
Sounds Great 👍🏾 Keep Slapping 👌🏾 Sealed box 4 life
I haven’t pumped Bones Thugs in years but the guy on the new Dax mix sounds just like them
Try MDF two layers glued together it works very well or dual layers of 3/4” plywood in opposing directions. Plywood is made to span in one direction so if you glue them opposing they tend to cancel vibrations. You can also get plywood with 2” polyisocyanurate insulation already attached to one side to help absorb unwanted vibrations
I normally use mdf but I had some extra pieces of plywood and wanted to use them up. It's not the box itself that rattling like that, the box is solid. It's the way I have it secured down in the hatch. I have secure it better.
Don’t laugh but my IROC back in the day had the T top well that I made into two 12” enclosed and I had the same issue. My wing and my tail lights would rattle like hell. Filled the wing and light pockets with spray foam because when I pulled the lights tight with Zipties they rattled worse
Yeah it took me a minute to figure out because I had spray foamed my trunk lid and along the taillights. One I day I put it on the lift a work and had an ah ha moment! Once I ziptide them impact bumper it stopped like 80% of rattle noise!
Reminds me of back in the day building a box for my kid when she turned 16 with 2-15” flame Q subs!! I have been thinking of building one for my 2017 f350 platinum hope yours hits hard
I'll tell you this... I'm very impressed with how a 12in 750rms sub and a 12in passive sub can sound so good. They will literally try to jump out of the box when I'm pushing them hard. 😂
Clean install bro 😎
Bro I try! Still learning though.
Badass subwoofer. 💯👍👍.
They can take power plus and for the cost it's an honest steal! Proof is in the pudding. 💯
Can it play 2 fe200 6" faital pro clearly?
Easily. It's a powerful little amp. What I found out is that even after setting you high-pass filters you still should go in to your head unit and adjust those as well. Because this amp still let's through a lot of low and mid bass. It's load, powerfully and clean!
@@kountryboysounds1657 thanks I have 4 of the fe200 6" and 2 400 watt speakers but I'm studying if to buy the 400x4 or the 800x4 or the 3000Hd taramps
For the price, size and performance this is the amp for highs, midst, and 6 - 8" subs 500wtts or less!
How is that mini amp holding up
I don't have it anymore but while I did it was a very nice amp. I saw a KZread video on it because I needed a good cheap 4 channel amp for my mids and high. I bought it and it was better than I expected. No issues what so ever! It's worth the money. And it will push subs, 8s, 10s and certain 12s.
@@kountryboysounds1657 alright thanks for the response
Anytime!
Sounds great bro
How many cuft per sub are you giving them? Curious to what the optimal spec is for these sealed.
It's about 2.60 per sub due to trunk space. Audiopipe recommends 2.50 to 3 per sub. In my last ride I was only running a single 15 and that box was closer to 3.20cft and it hit hard, deep, clear and clean.
And yes, with audio, you get what you pay for usually, so If it costs more, it's usually better.
I understand where you are coming from but if we are talking same size sub, same rms/ motor force... then in my opinion there's nothing I wouldn't have put the 2 bdc4 15 I had up against. And when I did they never disappointed! Regardless of who makes the product... a quality product is a quality product!
I'm curious about your opinion on the sound quality of these? Also, they seem to work pretty good in a sealed enclosure, how do the really low frequencies come through using the sealed enclosure?
Honestly the sound quality is great. No distortion, clean sound. For me I've always been a sealed box guy. I like the hard hitting, deep, clean, crisp bass. A sealed box can hit low depending on the subs, amp and size of enclosure. My bass is not the booming bass you do hair tricks with, it's rattles the car but inside my car it hits hella hard. Everything shakes, ears pop! And mind you my box is in my trunk, firing to the rear and my back seats are always up!
ᴘʀᴏᴍᴏsᴍ
Is it the DS or TS amp?
It's the DS400 x 4 correction it's the TS400x4
What size is that box? What cubic feet?
Almost 3.5 cubic feet. It's 22.5in wide, 20in deep and 17in high made from 3/4in mdf. It's a very solid box! Glued, screw and all seams caulked inside!
Hey, I think that amplifier is supposed to be ran with 8 gauge minimum I see you're using regular speaker wire for the power inputs how is it running with that. Have you had any problems using speaker wire for the power?
I always double up my speaker wire when using it for power or ground on small amps even though some would say not too but I haven't had any issues whatsoever.
Says 11 gage minimum. I ran 10 gage with no problems.
