Interesting. Which was a Tesla problem anyway since their software and firmware incompatibility caused the issue. No you’re not correct that it died prematurely. You can read anywhere that those lead acid batteries only last 2-4 years. So I was due. It’s just that the constant wake/asleep cycling did it in sooner rather than later. Thank you for that, I never that of that.
take off all scheduled charging. and try it again. See if that works. Car is garage kept (like mine) pre-conditioning really doesn't need to be done.
I am just finishing up the edit on my part 2 to this. I did bring it in to a Tesla service center. For a quick teaser, they said back in April I had the Tesla power lift gate retrofit kit installed, by Tesla themselves. They said a recent software update was incompatible with the firmware of the lift gate control module. The resolution is to wait and see. So we shall see.
Generally, Green = Chargin Blue = Charging Delayed/Charge Schedule set Red = Fault Orange/Yellow = Solar Charging And if you ever see a Red blinkling Light = Fault AND reduced Amperage, This is generally because your wire Lugs on supply wires come loose or need to be re-tightened. Wall Connector is a pretty smart device.

Why did you get the climate change warning on this video?
I haven't brought up climate change in a while. I had a series a long time ago called Climate Change Chat. I just wanted to plant the seed (pun intended) to talk about things we can do to slow down climate change in our every day lives.
These bikes are so much fun. As having the whole harley lineup over the years my livewire one is my favorite.The wife has the del mar. I also just test drove the mulholland.
They really are fun! I haven’t had a chance to try either of the S2’s. They don’t really seem like an upgrade from the One, but still look just as fun.

Yes! But the temps will start trading downward slightly over the next couple of days. Yesterday morning the fog was interesting. There’s a small farm that’s maybe 1 acre and it had a very dense fog layer just over the fields.
Do you recommend a Weather app over another?
Whether you have an android or iPhone, I recommend using weather.gov over the apps for a readable forecast. There you would type your zip code in. Otherwise, I really like RadarScope (iPhone only) for looking at live radar data.

I’ve made my own variations of a Jack and coke. Initially I added to that grand marnier and merischino cherry juice with cherry coke. This time I swapped out the cherry coke for Sunkist orange soda.
I should make a sub channel that’s all shorts of making drinks lol.

Totally missed that when I was recording lol. My forecast still stands, I really don't think much in terms of severe weather is going to come from this. One quick flash of lightning or rumble of thunder for 10 minutes and that would be it. We shall see however.
Funny thing is my local meteorologists saw that on Facebook Live in my DMA for local ABC 😂 how you miss that 😂
I do have a question for you since you saw this for Ida what takes more importance a Flash Flood Warning/ emergency or a tornado warning in the same polygon? And how would you message that if you were still on TV?
@@raymondguilbeault4585 to be honest I was getting very frustrated with my recording setup. Every time I went to record something new would stop working. After a dozen attempts and almost an hour of troubleshooting, I said f it and ran with what I had. I forgot to click the tomorrow view on spc, although I did on a previous recording lol.
@@raymondguilbeault4585 great question! Actually the FCC controls this and sets the rules for TV news. Tornados always takes precedent over any kind of flooding. No matter what, even if you’re interviewing the president, if a tornado warning is issued for your DMA, you break in live. If a flash flood warning or flood emergency is issued, no break in required, just the crawl at the bottom of the screen.

A year later we were asked if we want to keep him and said yes. Then due to some things, my wife and I are moving into a house with my parents. It’ll be easier for my parents and us to live together financially financially. My dad is allergic to cats so we had to give him back. I really do miss the cat that was named Tesla.

Unfortunately due to some financial, my wife and I are moving into a house with my parents. It will be easier financially for all 4 of us. My dad is allergic to cats so we couldn’t keep the cat named Tesla. I do really miss him already and it’s only been a week without him.
Had one for over 2 years, 18k on it, and sold it. Definitely miss it for its shear acceleration, smoothness, balance, and silence. I'll come back to the electric world once the recharge time is reduced. Or if they move to solid state batteries.
Yeah the charging time is a big obstacle. I charge at home so I am always able to have it charging while sleeping so it really doesn’t affect me. It seems that EVs would only work best right now for those that have their own house, which seems less and less these days unfortunately.
@@WeatherManAP yep, that's what I loved about it. Waking up to a fully charged bike made for an excellent commuter. Things fall apart when someone wants to cross states and not lose travel time at charging stations.
@@R3alR00tux yeah the EV fast charging infrastructure isn’t great right now. Tesla is doing pretty well. I also have a Tesla and it’d be neat to charger the bike at a Tesla supercharger since there are more of them around.

@@R3alR00tux nice! I was able to get a really good deal on a lightly used 10k mile 1 year old long range. It had FSD and acceleration boost already unlocked, so it’s close to being a performance lol.

It's just the type of on-board charger. It's a small charger. 1,4 is also the minimum for CCS standards to commence charging. I wonder if you could swap the OBC for a 3kW version. I might as well. Makes live just a bit easier on the road when you get a bite in a city with AC stalls. Pun intended in the missing the smell, right😉
Pun intended lol. Although Ford sold a gasoline scented cologne for those missing the smell when they buy the mustang Mach e. Also I didn’t even think the OBC could be swapped out. Very interesting.

Not to cause any concern, and it may not cause an issue, but the motor housing on yours has been painted/coated in black. Stock, it is silver. The motor gets quite warm when riding and charging, being that yours is black now it may cause it to be a bit warmer than usual during the warmer months.
Ben thank you so much for commenting! I’ve been watching your channel and love your videos. I do really like the black motor. It seems to be some sort of rubberized/vulcanized coating. I bought it strait from a Harley dealer this way and they did assure me it was fine and won’t effect the warranty since I bought it that way. I have rode it in heat (although NY heat is like 95 lol), and the motor temps stayed in range on the display. Although it did get hit when fast charging it didn’t trip any warnings.

@@AdventuresonZero yeah it seems pretty good! The only issue I found on it when I took delivery last year was the brake fluid moisture level is high so I gotta do a brake fluid flush. Have you seen any battery degradation in yours? Mine hasn’t seen any degradation.
@@WeatherManAP I have 23k on one, and 5k on the other. It’s hard to tell degradation during the winter. I’ll know in the summer if there’s been a change

The dealer took a lot off of the bike for me. I bought it “used”, but it only had about 900 miles on it. They completed the 1k service before I took delivery which was awesome too.

I know! It looks like all models agree in yes we’re getting a nor’easter, but the type of precip is still a very tricky forecast with no model agreement.

I didn’t. Actually I never road any motorcycle before buying. This is the first motorcycle I’ve been on. Although since then I’ve been on 2 other motorcycles. To be honest, the LiveWire was more fun lol.
The National Weather Service in Albany is thinking in parts of the Mohawk valley and Capital District Tuesday evening could get Mohawk Hudson Convergence as a Burst of heavy snow
The models are still changing less than 24 hours before which is crazy.
