I can use summon on my road, we have a gravel area I move my car to when I mow and stuff then I use summon to bring the car back bc by then I don’t wanna have to walk all the way over there. However the car refuses to pull into my driveway on its own XD

Another KZread channel has been testing speed bumps in the same neighborhood, on all the recent releases: 12.3.4 12.3.5 12.3.6 FSD is *still* inconsistent with speed bumps. Many times, it goes over them at full speed. VERY BAD. The AI and Neural Networks are just not getting the job done here.

Very inconsistent… just last night, it took two speed bumps perfectly but the 3rd one at full speed. I had to almost slam on the brakes.

FSD struggles when the U turn point is also an intersection. Especially when you have a car from the cross traffic waiting to turn right. I hope FSD eventually learns to use intersections and less busy streets to do three-point turns (when reverse is enabled) as U turns inherently risky.

@@DerekDavis213 as of now, the car does reverse using summon and while doing a 3point turn. But if I’m parked in a parking lot, i cannot activate FSD without me first backing the car out then after the car is out of the parking, i can then activate FSD. Hope this answers your question.

Oof. Tesla needs to know that not all speed bumps are equal, too. Most of the ones in my area are good up to 21-22mph in my non-Tesla (true for two different cars so far, fwiw) because they're much broader than the ones you have there. If a FSD car thinks that all speed bumps are safe at 20mph and hits ones like these, it's gonna hurt; and if it thinks they're only safe up to 5mph, then it'll waste time going too slowly on broader bumps.

Thats so true… theres a big difference. Im sure that if they can determine the size and speed of an approaching vehicle they should be able to fix the speed bump issue.

@@luis-lq5hi Yeah, though I'm not sure how. a solution would work, either. It could try using vision alone, but that'll depend heavily on how the bump is painted. Maybe radar could work but Tesla is moving away from it, right (and I wonder if any car manufacturer's radar would have enough resolution at that distance). It could monitor suspension movement to learn which bumps hit harder and then send it to a shared database, but that won't help for newly-installed speed bumps (though maybe the car could "play it safe" on first try if it recognizes the bump visually). Anyway, it's an interesting problem to solve, and I'd rather the car go too slow than too fast.

Looks like they didn’t fix my main complaint; even on chill mode the accel/decel is too late and aggressive and it misses speed bumps and appears it will hit some curbs In urban environment it’s too stressful/uncomfortable for me to use. Way wayyyyy easier to just drive myself.

@@DerekDavis213 nah probably not. Not because of fear of hitting another car or hitting a person, but because it does not really park in front of the store. It typically parks 4-5 feet away and i would be blocking the traffic. I would use it if it was raining… every update has improved the driving experience. But it stills needs work.

You can only use summon if your car has USS, if your car is vision only then you will not have it.

They are about the same. If your head is looking g straight at the rd. Uou dont get as many; but the second you look at your watch/ rear view mirror/ phone or the display you will get the nag.
