Yikes that spread on the h335 of over 200fps? I'd definitely not average that and call it a good clone with that dangerous of a spread. That being said, Ive also been an idiot and shot my chronograph but with 45 ACP. Luckily it just winged it and it still works great. My guess is the lack of shade covers and probably shooting too low which clearly happened at least once. The shade covers obviously assist with the light and readings, but also assist consistent shot placement when you don't have a specific target to shoot at. I found that shooting low or high above the chrono can shift readings and often occurred when I didn't have my shade covers and a specific target down range.

First off the chronograph too close to the muzzle. They should be at least 6 ft away. Muzzle blast will interfere with a reading. Without a suppressor the muzzle blast it's going to be there with subsonic or standard velocity. The term subsonic is exactly that. You never hear the bullet breaking the sound barrier, Which is the whole point of subsonic with a suppressor. And the suppressors job is to disperse the gases of the muzzle blast

60 grain soft points would be a better option if you have a SBR/carbine. 62-64gr softies are what the FBI and nuke plant security settled on for their 11.5" carbines. The 60gr soft points are also $5 less per 100ct case vs the 60gr Vmax.
