I've just bought a 435 and love it . The anti vibration is excellent, when I think back to when I started with a danarm 110 and how my hands would tingle for days with no anti vibration it's a whole different world now 😊

I always use the compression release on my 445. It prolongs the life of the pull rope. Mine starts easily when cold but not so easily when hot. It's a good homeowner grade saw but it does have some issues. The single bar bolt is prone to loosening, the air filter is a little small, and the chain oiler pumps even when the saw is idling and is not adjustable. That makes it prone to clogging.

I've had several chainsaws but mine ran for an hour and quit, never would start again. I expect the coils are poor quality. At least test it out for a few hours before the store return policy expires.

CFM recommendation. I have a half-acre yard. TONS OF PINE TREE(Norway spruce) a a few maple trees. I currently have a corded Toro which I think is 350 cfm and barely Moves Squat well maybe so so ) I’m looking to upgrade but not break the bank( I want under $400, but I’ll Go up Some of for the right one. Looking gas . I need powerful enough to blow entire yard wet leaves, pine needles and my BIGGEST CONCERN is powerful enough for Norway spruce pine cones. They are quite heavy pine cone.. what cfm minimum do you recommend. I saw one that was 765cfm for $349. I like the price but…is that enough. I want job to be easy. I saw another 890cfm, but it’s $479

Love the BTS580 comfortable, powerful, and durable as sh^t I probably have the 1st gen bc mines almost 7 years old and its absolutely beastly. Just change the fuel and air filters and these will last. I'm a handyman and I do a ton of lawns but I've used it in many many applications from cleaning debris off a roof to cleaning my filter on my shop vac. Amazing machine.

Jim, I have several T540xp saws. Question is there a carb that will work on the 540xp that is not auto tune. I can’t keep the saw running at idle, it continuously dies in between cuts. Thank you for your expertise

Not impressed and Husqvarna Tec support, NOT GOOD. Owned 5 saw over 40 years, so I do know something about saws. The manual shows you to grease, oil the clutch needle bearing by turning it on its side and dripping oil around the shaft with the clutch installed? Got ahold of Tec support asking them about this, even the Tec guy was not sure, and sent me the videos on how to adjust the chain and grease the bar sprocket! Nothing about the needle bearing, Tried putting a pin in the center shaft to see in this is a grease port, but seems to be solid. Also the saw is very touchy on the chain adjustment, no oiler adjustment, cheap carbutator, not a good saw in my mind, no wonder you can pick them up all day long on eBay re built.

Hi Jim my brother bought me a 435 a few years back it was my first brand new chainsaw so I babied the hell out of it cleaned it after every use regular maintenance and one day oh about 6 months after I got it I was running it just fine I shut it down and havent been able to get it running since. I pulled the cord until I broke it put in a new one and broke that one to. I got a carb rebuild kit changed everything out made sure the jets were clean checked hoses they were fine bought new spark plug air filter put it all back together and pulled the damn cord on that thing until i wore it down and broke it again. So I put it on the shelf and left without hurtling the damn thing at a tree. So finally I said screw it and ordered a brand new carburetor hoses the works and put it all in and still nothing, when i pulled the plug it was dry as a bone, i cant even get it to start with starting fluid and it doesn't seem like fuel is getting to the chamber, when I push the primer bulb it fills with gas but then its like theres a clog on the line because after 3 pumps the bulb gets really hard to pump and gas starts squirting out from behind the bulb if i try and push it. So i tore it all again and manually inspected the lines blew air threw them and the carb and they were fine, put it back together and the same thing no gas to the chamber. Im at my witts end here and if i pull that damn cord one more time im going to lose it and take a sledgehammer to it.

Recommend running husqvarna bar and chain oil. This saw does not do well with cheap bar oil. I use vp racing fuels 50:1 gas. This saw is a beast. Cut up several trees over 7 years of owning it.

As an owner I highly recommend that you get the torque bit and check all bolts you can reach. You might be surprised how many are loose. Aside from that this has been a very dependable and well performing machine.

I have a 435 but If it has any sort of decompression device on it, then it doesn't appear to work as this thing is extremely hard to pull considering it's size. I had a much larger Husky saw prior to this one and it was much easier to pull even though it was about twice the size.

One thing they also don't show on these new climbing saws is that in order to adjust the oiler you have to push down on the screw and twist at the same time to increase the oil output. Mine was not putting out oil and thought it was maxed out and broke my screw but then found out that the screw went in when ya pushed in on it and if I had known that I would of been able to increase the flow and been fine but no they don't put that on the caseing next to the flow adjust arrow go figure. The 334xp and 338xp's you felt the screw click at each setting like my 385xp does. One of the few changes on these saws I wish they never did. So stupid
