  To appeal, I have to go through the Spanish appeals process, and so far, the online system is just not cooperating. I’m likely going to just give up, but lesson learned - I’ll never fly Iberia again 😭

  We flew Qatar last year and enjoyed the flight and both lounges. Like you, we preferred the lounge with the spiral stairway, although the other was also nice. The food and service is definitely world class. We will fly with Qatar again in September and look forward to those lounge visits. We have a very long layover on our return flight and now we have seen all the options since we didn’t explore last year. Thank you for sharing.

  Overnight flights they seem to do an express service, giving you most dishes at the same time so you can go to sleep sooner. Daytime flight each course is served separately.

  I JUST booked our nonstop flights from Madrid to Boston, so hate to see this. Thanks for the advanced warning to go to the damn airport a day early if we end up having issues like this. I'd rather show up a day early than to be bumped to economy (though I have a feeling it won't do a thing to keep this from happening). One side note: There are only two days between now and August 2nd (our flight) that are close to sold out. There are still well over 10+ open seats on just about every flight between now and then. I feel like there's a low chance to be oversold.

  Glad to have you here! Which part isn’t working? If you’re talking about the calendar, I heard that has recently been acting up and you should instead enter the last available date on the calendar. This should bring up the monthly calendar view as before! :)

  I was allowed 1 personal item and 2 carry-on bags. They didn’t weigh my bags, but I think it does happen occasionally, though less often in Business than in Economy!

  It can vary by route and which site you use to book. For JFK to Doha, I am seeing taxes and fees in the $300 range. On what routes and sites are you seeing that price?

  Beautiful lounge, but I was a bit surprised by the menu. I was there just once, pre-Covid, and the cuisine was a bit more haute back then. It even seemed to just miss a 1-Michelin Star quality. From this review, the kitchen has suffered a drop in altitude (just based on sight, of course). Still, the lounge as a whole is a tasteful feast for the eyes.

  Very interesting about just missing 1-Michelin Star! They are definitely not that level now, but compared to most buffet-only lounges and compared to United's in-flight food service, the Polaris restaurant is pretty solid :)

  the BEST!!!! Planning a trip to Portugal for April 2025, I have watched hundreds of videos on how to get the cheapest flight - retired teascher- and use my miles; well, Mel is the best!!!! I clearly understood how to do it, I have a long way to go but if I keep watching her videos, Im sure I will be able to get my flight even for free! Thanks Mel!!!!

  Yes, since Lufthansa is part of the Star Alliance (like United), a transatlantic business class flight gets you in. Enjoy!

  Clear is pretty much useless if you have PRecheck. The LAX delta Clear staff was just rude and on a power trip the last time I was at LAX

  file a lawsuit because that's clearly stealing money and also report to better business bureau (BBB) sometimes they can help you to get your compensation you should give them hard time otherwise they wont give you anythign!

  I think I would have to go through the appeals process in Spain which I'm not sure is worth it. It is frustrating because I feel like as long as they are not held accountable, they'll keep doing it, but the process for fighting it is not easy 😭

  Great review. I suspect there was a problem with the a/c as almost all business class flights I've taken on European airlines the cabin temperature was fine. A hot, stuffy cabin overnight is very uncomfortable and not being able to sleep properly rather defeats the joy of having a flat bed. Apart from that, Air France looks a reasonable product and you certainly got a great deal.

  I don’t think there is a time limit. It’s a large lounge, and I can’t imagine they could enforce a limit. I’m not 100% sure, but I’m fairly confident you can stay as long as you need to 😊

  I’m glad you’re here! Welcome!! With award flights, I always book one way because it makes it easier to find availability and it increases flexibility. I flew Ethiad (was supposed to be the Apartments but was upgraded to the Residence) on the way over and then toured Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Doha before flying home on QSuites. Both flights were incredible, and by splitting up the trip, I got to experience both 😅

  Hi Mel - as usual, the videography, narration, and attention to detail were exquisite😊 I have been to France, and can attest that the French know food preparation - and eat dinner late - by American standards😄 The fact that your meal (though delicious) did not match the menu, and the staff "appeared" unaware, is a miss imo.   I have a question. I have booked an economy flight with Qatar Airways and I can go to the lounge for the extra cost of €120. Is the food, though, built in the price or do I have to pay extra?

  Yes, the food and alcohol are included in the price! 😄 If you have a long layover, it might be worth it, but the airport is really nice, so if the layover is reasonable, you might be better off just dining at a restaurant. Hope this helps!

  Both I and many of my friends fly frequently with Iberia, and I have never had problems making the check online, another thing is if you do it after the deadline. Iberia, compared to the American companies, is infinitely better. In your video you can see Note a little resentment. Next time fly with American, and you will notice the difference

  I just discovered your channel and it very informative. I am planning a trip next year from LAX to LHR. Any advice on avoiding Jet Fuel Tax. I'm not clear on how it works. THANKS SO MUCH

  You should be able to find flights to LHR without the fuel surcharges, but leaving LHR is tougher. Many people will take a short flight somewhere else and then fly home, so you could consider that option.
