All of the narration on this video is on one channel. I stream to hearing aids and the channel with the narration is to the side with my worst hearing. Don’t record on only one channel!

We can't really get close to the females when they have pups (mama bear x10!), but I wouldn't be surprised if the mothers sang to their pups, too.

I lived just south of you with Sedro Woolley address. I was honored to swim with 5 member pod of orcas. I made friends with 14ft 6in octopus we named George. I befriended pair eagles on San Juan Island, I named Fred and Wilma. They started eating lunch with me under they're tree. Fred always stays next to me on my left, but Wilma would hop on my lap bend down rub her beck and face against my face giving me affection. Then I'd rub Fred chest feathers telling him how lucky he was an who beautiful wilma is! I measured largest octopus in world for Friday Harbor labs! I had director tell me, we had just completed research project unique to all mankind! Very cool. Love area you were raised!

I took a class in college on invertebrate zoology. Wasn't my favorite class.... but I subscribed today because I was reminded of how many remarkable creatures live on our planet (many of them on the ocean). Thank you 🙏

It kinda weird that what was life and (ultimately) a death situation for the Franklin expedition, is a vacation for our generation.

What month was your expedition? We just did a mid-May expedition seeing many of the same areas but alas--only one bear, no bubble net feeding & only two whales in an 8 day expedition (6 days on the water). We added Glacier Bay & Petersburg to our itinerary (On different Lindblad/NatGeo cruise). We have only seen whales that close in Australia 24 years ago.
