Wondering wtf after seeing bird lime recipes. Here they are: Bird lime is a thick, tough, and sticky mass of a greenish color, has an unpleasant smell and bitter taste, melts easily on heating, and hardens when exposed in thin layers to the air. It is difficult to dissolve in alcohol, but easily soluble in hot alcohol, oil of turpentine, fat, oils, and somewhat in vinegar. The best quality is produced from the inner green bark of the Holly (Ilex aquifolium), which is bolied, then put in barrels, and submitted for 14 days to slight fermentation until it becomes sticky. Another process in preparing it is to mix the boiled bark with juice of mistletoe berries and burying it in ground until fermented. The bark is then pulverized, boiled and washed. Artificial bird lime is prepared by boiling and igniting linseed oil, or boiling printing varnish until it is very tough and sticky. It is also prepared by dissolving cabinet maker's glue in water and adding a concentrated solution of chloride of zinc. The mixture is very sticky, does not dry on exposure to air, and has the advantage that can be easily washed off the feathers of birds.
A plastic baggie full of dried peas or maize. Double bag it if you're worried of the bag splitting.

I had a Meccano set when I was a kid, and I'm disappointed with myself that I never thought of making something like that ! 🤣 I did make a sort of medieval-ish catapult thing though. But I used twisted rubber bands to make it work. Got me into trouble it did when I accidently broke a tea cup with the thing lol.

Ive tried this with salt water. Thats all we have here. After an hour i collected a half a cup. And it tasted like salt. So for those who live next to the coast, its a fail. I went through a disaster and had no water for a month. Aid workers brought in bottled water. But if they hadn't we would have been in trouble. We dont have fresh water but lots of salt water. I need a different option.

Thanks, bloody pheasants have taken over my lifestyle block once i cut forestry out. Eatting lot of my food and very flighty plus i dont want firearms....will try this and snares near plants they relish..appreciate you sharing this with us ....its cruel but i am able to check with regularity. Malcom you got any good ideas on those minature sugar ants.i used the borax or sodium bait were they take it back to colony but there still coming maybe multiple colonies.i had some success with karo syrup, but there so light they didnt stick long enough so i added vitamin oil that worked some.it drowned a few hundred but still getting stragglers.snookie pa.😊😊

Got a neighbour from hell who has told me he is going to knife me then cut my throat so the police had done nothing to help me so have taken the advice in this video so thank you. The U.K has become a cess pit of crime and murder. You should be allowed to defend yourself regardless due to the high crime in the U.K.
