It wasn't on purpose I would say, the pitch release was late meaning it would be in lefty batter box.

" if a hitter can beat you, you should walk him". --- satchel Paige. This applies to the entire Atlanta braves pitching staff against Bryce Harper on any given game. He owns their entire team, so they need to walk him every time he comes up.

I remember watching this live, and even I went apeshit in my room alone. I can’t even begin to imagine what the atmosphere in Citizens Bank was like in person or how loud it actually got there in person. I maybe a Baltimore fan above all, but God man, I love Philly sports too. What a hell of a town.

certainly a top 3 moment of my life for sure, the bank was LOUD, was lucky enough to be there for this and the rhys hoskins bat spike in 2022, ive never heard the bank louder, just wish one of those runs ended with a trophy.

Yeah he basically said, "Fine if you guys can't do it, I'll just put the entire team on my back and do it myself". It's impossible to overstate how smart of a play that was. That was all instinct and never assuming anything. He was named The #1 third baseman for a reason. It's insane to think about just how good of a deal his contract is. Devers for 100 mil more? I think not!

“May the ghosts of 2011 be forever erased.” Those ghosts left my body in a huge sigh of relief on that called strike. I didn’t cheer nor was I jubilant. Just a release from the depth of my soul. And as I watched the boys celebrate on the field, I became emotional. Still reliving it everyday, rewatching games and highlights. And I can face down the reality of 2011 now. I can’t thank the boys enough for brining it home. It’s such a huge deal to lifelong Rangers fans.
