HB Cruising exists to tell curious and interested viewers about 1) solo cruising, 2) music themed cruises, and 3) my adventures with solo and music themed cruises.

My vote would be Ovation of the Seas...only because I've booked it next year. :) Princess cruises seem to have a fair few cases of CV19 but they would be my second choice. Carnival last. If you're looking at 2024, I think Brilliance of the Seas sails HNL/BNE and Quantum of the Seas from HNL to SYD too.

We didn't go this year. The first thing I do when getting on the ship is look for friends! The cruise is great, but seeing our friends every year has become the biggest thing to me. It's like a family reunion.

There really is no comparison. The 80's Cruise adult only, alcohol package included, the actual bands not cover bands. It is 7 days of an amazing time with the artists themed events, concerts, etc. There are a couple of 80's live bands and a DJ, but over 20 live concerts throughout the week.

Celebrity cruisers can look forward to more sugar and carbohydrates. These are cheaper than fresh products and can be prepared a long time ahead. I cruised on the Solstice. The food in the dining room consisted of large vegetables and a protein covered in a brown congealed liquid. Meals looked noth8ng like the expansive book at the entrance to the dining room. A meeting was held with the head chef, hotel manager and cruise director. The head chef stated he couldn’t deliver such food as elegantly shown in the book as there were 3000 passengers to serve. I told him he knew that when he took the job. He left the ship in Sydney. The Vietnamese or Japanese specialty dining venue served up a Chinese meals reminiscent of a local takeaway. If fact our local establishment has better food. If Celebrity is going downhill with their food cruisers will soon switch to other lines, I did. Is stupid a profession or are the Celebrity management team gifted?
