The 67-68 didn't do anything. Steve McQueen made it . The 65-66 made sold most of any mustangs. Beside there homely, fat an suck.

Good video! Very informative! For a car running F70- 14 bias ply tires, and weighing about 3800 l.b .s. empty, those are some very good times! 500 ft. l.b.s. of torque could shred 7 inch wide tires. I had a 454 68 Camaro that wouldn't hook with 11 1/2 inch tread Hoosier Quik Time tires!

Split window was great! Any Corvette from 1967 to the first one in '54 were the best, beautiful! I don't care about horsepower, blah, blah, blah. Love the '63! Mitchell knew what was best! He was a heck of an engineer and designer!

Nice video. As the owner of two full-size 1978 Chevies, I will attest to their comfort, ease of driving, and quality. One minor oops I caught. In 1980, the 250 was dropped for the Chevy-based 229 V6; the 231 was regularly-scheduled for California-emissions cars, although I imagine a few 231s found their way into cars bound for elsewhere as production needs/availability required. The full-sized Pontiacs, Buicks and Oldsmobiles, at least those sold in the U.S., all had 231s. I think the Canadaian cars all had 229s, but I'm not sure.

I love these videos - like this one - by guys who put out "fake news" videos about stuff they know nothing about. The Warlock - not the Shelby Dakota - was the first "muscle truck" It was FASTER than a 'Vette. The Dodge Warlock was the fast American production vehicle that year. And, of course, it was a "Chrysler" product.

One of these cars somehow ended up in Italy where my uncle could buy second (or maybe third) hand. I remember practicing my driving on it once... It was like driving a boat 💀 but honestly this is such an iconic car

Had a 3.0 in one of these. That engine wouldve been better used as a boat anchor. Comfy car though.

In 1987, Caprice wagons got an Olds Motor, that had 30 less horsepower than the Coupe and sedans 305.

The 1990, killed Caprice sales with the door mounted seatbelts, you thought you were securely in your car, and the door could open and you'd fall out of your car, (with seatbelt on).

I will say the Datsun 510 was a hit and was known as the less expensive BMW, as it had the disk brakes, large glass area, and good handling. They were clearly ahead of Toyota, say in 1968, whereas Honda seemed more a toy. Datsun/Nissan started it all, at least in California. And the Z cars, oh my, they could not build enough for that demand.

My parents moved to the United States in 1963, year before I was born, and their first U.S. car was a 1962 Falcon wagon they kept until December, 1969 when it was traded for a 1970 Fairlane 500 wagon. The Falcon was worn out by that time, running on only a few cylinders. A 429 was available in the 1970 1/2 Falcon.

The executive limo on wheels, started out as the roadmaster, then became the Electra 225, and then an Electra limited, and finally park Ave, that was yesterday, not now.

Thanks for the review! The E-body cars were beautiful and made a lasting impact... E-body Challenger (or Barracuda) is out of reach for me, but the contemporary (sadly, in fact it went already to history...) Challenger is great looking and driving car too (and still affordable). Maybe the LC/LX body recreation is by nature closer to B-body cars. Greetings from behind the pond🙂

Had one of these…318, positrack. Drove through the blizzard of 1977 with no problem. Wife, two kids and a Labrador dog. Lasted 10 years with no major repairs. Finally dissolved into a pile of rust on the driveway. Thought it was quick until I drove a 340. Migrated to a few K-cars. Big mistake.

Stumbled upon a '69 SJ with the 428 H.O. in 1977 when I was 20. It's a wonder I'm still alive. Awsom, you think your MC was a rocket ship...? This beast had a 3.55 limited-slip and would spin until you let off the throttle. I did that a good bit. I drove the life out of it in 6 months...floated the valves, new water pump, and all the dumb stuff that a 20-year-old does to a car. Traded it in on a Colonnade 1973 Monte Carlo. Another good choice, though it needed and got a replacement engine (rings). But that SJ...! And yes, Awsom, the 1st gen Monte was the A platform. Chevy felt left out of the mix, so GM let them have their own version. It worked.
