  I’m new to desert rock hounding and was thinking of going out tomorrow or the next possibly the next day to oatman with my dog. After watching this I’m thinking I shouldn’t go because of the rattelers and as it will be 90+ I don’t want to leave him in the car. Should I not go out again until November? I have a place outside of Peach springs where I can find rainbow petrified wood and even though that’s higher elevation I’m guessing I shouldn’t go out by myself as an older woman. Could you advise me on dos and donts for me and my dog.

  @@janlovig3371 after this trip I wouldn't suggest going alone, I shouldn't of gone by myself, this was my reminder, anything for rock hounding , I normally go when the snakes aren't out. I'm surely buying snake bite proof leggings or boots before going back out during snake season.

  I love rock hounding too- I was in Wickenburg few days ago- I saw my first snake of the season. I went back out 3 times since and I’ve been all alone.. accept for the prairie dogz- lol - oh shit a snake- wait one more rock.. lol

  The ONLY thing I'd change on your setup is to put a thin formica or plywood board or some type of continuous surface because nothing is worst than working on something small and it slips in one of those 2x6 crevices and you can't see or find it but it's there somewhere!!!! 😮😂 otherwise nice layout of the tools!
