what is the benefit of using tie in bands and ditching the slot?
@RiffeInternational3 ай бұрын
Great question. From a production standpoint the speargun manufacturing process is streamlined. The bands work the same and have the same strength. It's just a matter of tying the bands yourself rather than having them pre assembled. I hope this helps.
@delimaha87713 ай бұрын
How do you secure the starting point of the line to the reel, please? I received this reel with my euro setup, but I found that there is no way to accomplish this, and essentially, without this "fixed" point, the lines will not be locked in their position. As a result, the entire reel keeps rotating against the plastic axle, rendering the locking mechanism useless.

Here's a video that should solve the issue you are having. There is a particular way to tie the knot so the start of the line around the spool does not spin around. docsend.dropbox.com/view/quujv3wkkbmxntzu . Shoot us a comment and let us know if you were able to get your reel working. Thanks!

Why counter clockwise wind? Will this affect the drag settings? Mine is clockwise on my marauder.
@RiffeInternational5 ай бұрын
Great question! The surface of the reel drag lever is manufactured to function properly rotating in one direction only. If you wind up the line clockwise, you'll notice the reel doesn't offer the 4 drag tensions when you click through the settings. So the line has to be spooled counter clockwise (while the knob is facing up) in order for the reel drag system to operate correctly.
