The no lye relaxer is definitely easier on my scalp. But the lye relaxer gives me wayyyyyy less breakage and my hair feels stronger overall compared to no lye. For now I'm sticking with lye.

Hey! I just wanted to tell you that Jesus Christ gave His life and resurrected to save you from your sins, and then resurrected so you can have life in Him. Jesus Christ is coming back sooner than you might expect, be ready and prepare to go with Him! Salvation prayer: Father I pray with my heart and believe in You Jesus Christ. I believe you died for me. I acknowledge that i'm a sinner, please forgive my sins. Wash me with Your precious blood. Come into my heart, save my soul today. Be my LORD and personal Saviour. I accept you today. In Jesus' name. Amen. Meditate on His Word (The Bible) to overcome challenges of this world until He comes! Jesus loves you! I don't know you but remember that God is with you! Romans 6:23> For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. 💕🫶🏾

Is coarse hair high porosity?
@HealthyAfroHair27 күн бұрын
@@ioincognito9953 No, not necessarily! It’s more to do with how well the hair absorbs moisture and you’ll generally get an idea based on how your hair feels after applying moisture to it.

how do you moisturize your hair, specifically your ends? I get really bad single strand knots and nothing works to moisturize my hair
@HealthyAfroHair25 күн бұрын
Try adding a moisturiser, followed by an oil or butter to seal the ends. Also, check whether you’re due a trim.

Hi! But what are your thoughts on the shampoo and deep conditioner?
@HealthyAfroHairАй бұрын

Thank you for this explanation. I just did a big chop where i shaved off all of my hair because it wasn’t growing. I wanna say that I do have high porosity hair because i over use products that have different kinds of ingredients that I use on my hair, as well as washing it with hot water and using different types of shampoos/ conditioner. As well as blowdrying and combing it everyday. I believe that is what caused me to have high hair porosity because I’m an impatient person and I don’t know what my hair likes. I want to be able to use natural products. Or would it be best to not be any products on my hair? Right now my hair is shaved so should I wait until it starts to grow out?
@HealthyAfroHair25 күн бұрын
You’re very welcome! If it’s completely bald, then you don’t have to worry so much about using products. However, once your hair starts to grow, you will want to start using them. But keep it simple and stick to one product at a time.

Beautiful hair! Do you mind if I ask how much hair do you usually lose per wash? I have 4c hair and don't know anyone else with this kind of hair to compare with, and I'd like to know if the amount of hair I lose is healthy.
@HereDiianasАй бұрын
The amount is different for each person and will all also differ depending on how often you detangle your hair between washes. As long as your hair density does not become thinner....your own shedding is normal.
@HealthyAfroHairАй бұрын
Thank you! The amount I lose isn’t that much but it can vary for everyone depending on your shedding cycle, hormones, diet, age etc. But if it’s a real cause of concern for you, then there’s no harm seeking professional advice.

I love Kerastase products. I have type 4C hair and I use to have scalp issues and every time I would wash my hair I would lose large clumps of hair. I could never understand why. I could wash my hair, style and apply oil to my scalp,; but then the following day my scalp would be flaky and when it would be time to wash my hair it would like like I had cradle cap. Would happen to me all the time, from when I was a kid till I finally started using the Kerastase products last year when I turned 24. I started first with their serums: genesis and symbios. My scalp started changing after the first couple uses. I finished both bottles and bought new ones. That's when I decided to try their shampoos that went with the serums, and I have not turned back. I lose less hair and my scalp health is so much better. I haven't tried any thing else from them, but they genesis and symbios shampoo and serums will defiantly stay a staple in my hair care.
