Productivity, Apple, and personal development. Special focus on to-do apps like Things 3, OmniFocus, and Todoist and on Apple apps like Notes and Reminders.
Apple should take a look at Things for deadlines, subtasks and dividing the day up. We should be able to say we'll do something in the morning / afternoon / evening without having to specify a time! Some tasks are just squeeze-ins

But you can't repeat 5 days a week for it not to make another copy of that to do if you don't complete it on one of those days. The copies will continue to be made until you physically delete them at the end of the day as not being completed. Omnifocus handles this much better.

How do you handle the fatigue of getting hundreds of work emails per week? I’m struggling with the motivation to work through emails in an environment where I can get over 100 per day and getting my inbox down requires not only working through the old emails but also working through the new ones each and every day.
@PeterAkkies8 күн бұрын
If there are that many, I would tell people to stop sending you so many, and instead give you periodic updates/summaries. Or just start ignoring a bunch of the emails. At some point, you have to force people to respect your limited time.

@PeterAkkies9 күн бұрын
Glad you enjoyed it! The flight emoji gets added by Flighty, an app I use to track my flights that automatically puts my flights on my calendar. The calendar emoji shows up for all all-day events, I think, to distinguish them from reminders/to-dos.

I wonder if I'll be able to create a bunch of reminders using a checklist in apple notes, using a shortcut or apple intelligence/siri itself. Then, once completed, ask siri to check reminders that are done and mark the checklist inside the notes as done.

Our mail provider supports caldav/carddav. So I’d only use a program that works with that. Em-client does a pretty decent job with that If you setup your default iOS apps you’re rather good to go. Sooo, if I needed a program, it shouldn’t force me into a subscription and taking my data hostage. A pay once app could win my heart.
@hermask81510 күн бұрын
Oh I forgot. On iOS that program should use the default apps data but not embrace and extend. Google, Microsoft, yahoo apps and services are a no go.
