2:38 Sat 7/6. Couldn't make the parade because of illness. So watched it here. Did I miss all the floats, Shriners and clown? Vulcans haven't come for years but they were always fun.
How come the rest of the meeting isn't posted?
What a stache
Audio is too low to understand.
I found this while searching "history of radar". LMAO
I'm surprised that the appraiser didn't show more professional respect for the documents by wearing gloves.
Would have been fun to see some old pictures of the Edgewood.
The bronze statue is Dutch. The woman is holding a long "hay fork" actually used to stick clay cooking pots in wood oven. The vase from Odessa is not German but Soviet made to imitate western style. The Soviets promoted collective work instead of individual talents. That's why things like that numbered and not signed. Germans would sign it. Cheers!
Shame on these people.....PAY YOUR TEACHERS MORE
'Promosm' 🙂
October 16, 2023. I so remember calling on Minnesota Malting in the late 50s and 60s as a salesman for Lakeland Engineering Equipment Co. As such I knew Don Mensing and especially you Lyle. Also Hugh (last name ?) I remember Don taking me out to his great "country" house on the creek. Also remember the distance from the main elevator to your secondary set of tanks, jumping it. Also the decorative water fountain in your lobby. l eft Lakeland Minneapolis and moved to Kansas City and started a new Lakeland in August 1975. I retired from Lakeland in 1990. I always have liked barley in soups etc. so called Hugh at one time and asked Hugh if he could send me a package of pearled barley. My gosh, here came a 100# sack of pearled barley - had barley for years. I value the calls and business I did with Minnesota Malting. I am now 98 and am still doing good.

It’s a go cart track. Come on people

So cool! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for posting, this was hype. Been binge watching these with my wife and daughter and our eyes are glued to the screen. More exciting than Marvel films, 10/10.
Hi le Chien, t'as vu quelque-chose?? ........Il s'est endormi sous la table!!!
You are a way off and your figures probate is between five and 25% of your inheritance depending on if there’s a trust, forgery, durable, power of attorney counterfeit, and numerous other crimes it’s not that cheap cause my family 22% when a sibling forge the trust put me on the street cost $1 million. Sorry sir you you should be charging at least 5 to 10% to add all the security measures to make sure we get our inheritance is without the crime or fighting with the approved nicer Certified APU.
Could we call it an inheritance plan instead in a spirit of civics civility and collaboration with your clients
Why is this in my feed? Lol. I'm not even AmericN
Pas encore "inclus" dans les "KZread Kids"?? Au rythme actuel..........Cela ne devrait plus tarder!
Sad that Occupied Japan's are not worth much. In the 1960's I bought many and thought they would be worth big bucks one day. I have a lot of them.
I actually like the green lamp when I seen it I went wow loved it. Today first time to watch your show.
Randy California, Jay Ferguson....Randy Ferguson? Now that's Teen Spirit!!!!
Geez . The silver overlay vase was definitely art nouveau, and certainly three times as much worth as he estimated. He lost me after that
This guy is a loser he criticises people's pieces. Just value the peace and stick to the facts don't give your negative opinions to try to make yourself look good. Have some maturity
Hello I can't believe his patience he's almost losing them when some of these things abroad in like the car with the dirt inside it she couldn't have taken a hose to it!?! I would quit if I was him! Now I know what I don't want to be is an appraiser.
1:29:30 he turned down 4500 ? Mistake 🙈
iNFORMATION!
My favorite "brown-eyed" girl and I got a sandwich from Subway, drove back up to the First Farmers & Merchants Bank parking lot and enjoyed the parade of vehicles from there! Sure beat a date night to Culver's and Menards! Good times!
Thanks for the trip back in time! I enjoyed working weekends at Edgewood baking for the Sunday Brunch during high school and came back from college to work the Old Fashioned Christmas. I was great fun! I learned a fantastic work ethic in addition to kitchen skills. Marie had high standards which I appreciated. We worked hard, but no one worked harder than Marie and Don. I remember all the people named here who wee regular characters in the Edgewood kitchen. It was a great place to work. Thanks for giving me my first job and for a great place for a wedding reception later on!
I have received so many wonderful emails and text messages about this interview. Watching it makes me want to go back to that time. I would like to visit with Otto and Marie now that I have lived a life and understand so much more.
Very nice items!
Guerre means war in french!
It appears Mr. Moran is a slave to prior auction prices which may or may not really apply to many items. For instance, if the item is offered in a small rural auction where no serious collectors are among the bidders, it's likely to be sold for a song. Such a sale gets recorded in auction records and it's probably unfair to peg that one sale as the expected value in a better attended auction. Just imagine offering fine items in an auction held at Cannon Falls, population ~4,000. The resultant prices most likely would be wildly different than a NYC auction. To be fair, Mr. Moran does try to scour multiple sales because he surely understands this disparity. But, I would like an appraiser to expand prices to possibly include what Road Show appraisers often say, "... in a well advertised auction, I might expect ..."
SUCH A JOKE. Problem is, in a town of 3,500, your local 'antique expert' does not know real market values. I have actually been to Cannon Falls, what is it two streets long? Cute that you guys had your little event and shared it, but your pricing and so called expertise is so far off it hurts my brain to watch.
In watching this it brought back so many great memories. I worked there for a time and yes I can remember Otto cutting meat ,and all the great pies and being able to take some home on Sunday night that were left over. I remember Vi Kvamme's amazing blueberry pie as well! Yes all the great staff that worked there and being a young man getting to eat there was awesome. I remember taking garbage out in the pickup and Rex ,the German Shepard had to sit right next to me in cab with Buttons sitting up on top of seat next to me and Charlie down by my feet excited. Charlie and Buttons were Pomeranians. I helped with dishes but also in yard and the deer! Before I worked there Dad and Mom would take us there after Church and every once in awhile we could order the broasted pork chops that were amazing! When Sallie and I were married in 1987 Don and staff catered our wedding at the Northfield Ballroom and Don you treated us so well and made our day so special! If you see this THANK YOU! There will never be a restaurant as special and awesome as the Edgewood!
Just sad how the meetings are never about the public being there!! If I was a board member I would put it in the budget to DO SOME MARKETING TO THE PEOPLE TO GET THEM INVOLVED. But what do I know? I am the first to comment and I don't even live there!!! hahha
Very nice story Steve.....very interesting.
Where is the "Restaurant"????
Was on Hwy 52 southbound of Cannon Falls about 6 miles on the right. It is now closed.
When I was pregnant back in 1984, my Mom picked up one of those German baby strollers for me. I remember how everyone who saw it was amazed at it's beauty..It was kinda like pushing around a small Cadillac.
Lived here for almost 30 years, and this was by far one of the coolest (and most random) events that happened in CF.
With all your experience and ACTUAL knowledge and training, I hope you can make a video about how the Q folk have been projecting and demonizing more than half of the country. The only thing worse than human trafficking to me is pushing a narrative with no data that misinforms the gullible and fearful conspiracy theory about Democrats. People tune out to the actual problem when they’re flooded with BS. Good luck with your actual work.
I, who know nothing, can see that blue plate is Japanese, not Chinese. Who is this guy?
The painting on panel of the 2 men is done over another painting.
Worst Appraiser ever. Clueless without a laptop.
ZZZZZZzZZZZZzzZzZzZzZZzZzzZZZZZZZZzzz¿a
This guy is an idiot. Doesn’t know what he’s talking about half the time and coughing over everything and handing crap back to people
The 1961 Gibson had a special case . Our host was out of his league on that appraisal. Guitar's are tricky. Very good on history of artists and that takes years to learn plus his personality is pleasing and fun . But it's important to do your own research and get other professional opinions. I have enjoyed local appraisal shows that are a fun night out where attendees bring 3 items and have them appraised . This show reminds me of that .
That is a $10,000 guitar. Youre a fool.
How about zooming out so we can see the people and object at the same time..full screen
