@@jokingjexter I'd love to man, I really would. In a bad predictiment on jobs so I don't have Playstation Plus. Or a PS5 yet so I'm only thru Tekken 7 right now. I do have several characters mastered. Lili, Jin, Asuka, Hworang - Took a bit of time, Dragonov, Miguel, Paul - He's sorta basic but a fun good kind of basic, Shaheen, Katarina, Gigas, and a little bit of Feng with Bryan. All of who I mentioned are all on Emperor rank through online battles so I know good mixes, but I wanted a challenging character with satisfying blows. I was gonna do Nina or King but Steve is a different breed

I don’t mean any disrespect but wanted to tell you some truth. And please I’m not an expert either (lower rank than you btw) but a fellow Steve main just giving you my observations. Tbh, I think you need to review your matches and lab to learn more about Steve and how he matches up against other characters. You complain quite a bit that the opponents aren’t better than you or that their characters are carrying them, not just in this video but in others as well but when I’m watching I feel like the opponents are adapting to how you play cause you play your own game using the same unsafe moves and flowcharts and always finishing strings. If the opponent knows the match up and recognises the animation they will duck the second hit of f+2,1 just like the kazuya was doing to you in the first match. It also doesn’t help if you’re using it basically every time after wr2 so you’re telegraphing it. Your follow ups after f+2,1 are also mostly highs like flicker jab variations or grabs so it isn’t really “crazy/insane” that they’re ducking. All the follow ups from flicker after f+2,1,b on block I think are also interruptible with a crouch jab so not really ideal to keep pressing after blocking. The “crazy” thing is you’re noticing in the match that he’s ducking and you even say you gotta stop using it but you still do it… examples of you playing your own game. The same thing goes for LWV (left weave) 1,f+1,1,b (cancels into flicker). None of your opponents were ducking the last hit but that’s also a high which you also almost always follow up with a high such as the flicker jab variations and grabs. Another move you keep using is d+2,1,2 and you kept getting ducked on the last hit. You could switch it up a bit and duck cancel after the second hit to switch up your timing or bait out a reaction from your opponent. When the last hit of d+2,1,2 is blocked you also always go into rwv (right weave) 2 which you can get punished for if the opponent knows it’s -13. I don’t really have many suggestions, like I said I’m not an expert but I think your biggest weakness is that you play your own game and try to make your moves hit. I think there’s a place for that but you also need to be seeing what the opponent does and changing up your game plan accordingly. What could benefit you is block and observe and to incorporate more safe mid checks in your games like df+1, df+2 into duck cancel and more d+1 and not just d+2,1,2 (or at least don’t commit to the whole string) on top of the moves and flowcharts you have (but also revise your flowcharts cause especially f+2,1,b into flicker on block like I talked about before). This will then give you situations to observe your opponent and get a handle on how they play. Then you can start forming a game plan around how they react to your checks. Anyway keep at it man. The grind is real. Gl.
