    Love your video . The wife and I are heading over the ditch for a road trip late September. Long time since I've been to Christchurch (1967) and the wife never so hoping for cherry blossoms and paddling on the Avon. Arthur's Pass will be new for both of us and i know that will be amazing. Rainforest Retreat overnight sounds good (any advice) then on to Wanaka the next day . Highlights for Flora will be cherry blossoms anywhere and fish and chips for me . We live in Darwin and the South Island (I was born there in 53) is my ideal holiday destination. We fly into Queenstown 😊 do a lap , anti clockwise , back to Qtown then fly home . Cheers

    Hi, greetings from Indonesia, may i have the name of the accommodation there and how much was it? We're planning to have a visit somewhere in May or early June, do you have any recommendations or any advice regarding accommodation for five people, please? Btw your vid is lovely, cheers

    Hi there! Thanks so much for watching. We stayed in a quite a few places throughout this trip as we were travelling around to different locations. The price of accommodation varies obviously depending on the style of accommodation. Let us know the spots you want to visit and we can give you some more specific info about the best places we've stayed in those spots. If you're thinking of visiting Queenstown (which is a must-do in our opinion), then our fav place to stay is Spinnaker Bay Apartments. It has the most amazing views of the Remarkables and Lake Wakatipu. The apartments are designed for groups. I think they're around $500 per night for an apartment that sleeps 6 people. Here's their web site spinnakerbay.co.nz/.

    Hi thank you so much for reaponding my comment, we are planning to travel yo some locations as well. Unfortunately, Queenstown is not in our list, we will stay in Christchurch and then travel to see the glacier, i would like to know how much the cost for car rent for five people, ao perhaps a van or something will accommodate us. One of my relative is disability person so i need to make sure that the transport and accommodation will fit for her, i hope you don't mind to response my comment. Many thanks in advance 😊😊

    The amount of Carbon in the atmosphere,is 0.4% ,nowhere near the level the climate activists are claiming. The glaciers up in Canada and Alaska aren't receding, so it's not global warming. Al Gore said several countries would be under water by 2000, that didn't happen,they said the polar ice caps would melt by 2010,that didn't happen. The climate activists are lying to the world

  • @busylivin
    @busylivin Жыл бұрын

    As you have seen from this episode, the difference in the receding glacier is a warning that something is happening. Is it global warming? thats the big question isn't it.

    What an epic adventure and well done with the filming and vlog! We are planning our second trip to NZ, just the south island this time, and if you don't mind, I've got a question about your Routeburn Flats walk. This is something we are planning on doing, and I was wondering if you could tell me how easy (or not) this walk is and whether it was worth doing? I have dreamed of walking the Routeburn, but due to arthritis and time, we just can't do the full walk, so I was hoping the Routeburn Flats walk would be the next best thing! Also, did you try flying your drone around that area, or were there posted signs saying no drones? Thank you for sharing your adventure!

  • @busylivin
    @busylivin Жыл бұрын

    Hi Jennifer. Thanks for your kind feedback and questions. We would definitely recommend the Routeburn Flats walk. The scenery was spectacular and for the most part, the walk was easy with a few moderate uphill sections, but nothing too challenging. The day we went, it was raining so the trail was like a stream in some places. I would advise wearing good waterproof shoes if it's wet. Also, leave longer than the tourist websites tell you to, because you'll be stopping a lot for photos along the way. It's probably a full day walk there and back, even though the sites say 3 hours. As far as the drone went, we didn't use it there. One of the things we found out on that trip was how much NZ'ers hate drones. I think the drone rules have expanded quite a bit since we shot this. No drones in National Parks or over private property unless you have permission from the owner. You can get permits to use them in some areas although we've never tried getting one so not sure how easy it would be. This web site will give you more info www.doc.govt.nz/get-involved/apply-for-permits/recreational-drone-use/. Have a great time!
