Can anyone explain the difference between a hurricanrana and a Frankensteiner? I thought the Frankensteiner was a jumping head scissors then a back flip (don’t EVER try that in a real fight unless you and your opponent make sure it’s a work beforehand). I am pretty sure a hurricanrana is a head scissors followed by a twist to the left or right - which of course sends your opponent flying. It’s even good enough for them to stay shoulders down on the floor for 3 seconds…just don’t try that in a real fight either. And this isn’t a criticism. I’ve left two long comments again which means I love reliving this stuff a bit too much!

I was at this show! it was the only PPV I attended. Went to about a half dozen each of RAWs and Nitros at the time, great era to be seeing live wrestling. Got to see some legends that’s for sure! I was along the entrance way it was a dream come true for a 90s wrestling fan (sort of stopped watching it around early 00s) it’s so fun to revisit this!

10:30 completely agree, I don't know if WWE management doesn't understand that in actual unscripted sports that people do go undefeated for their entire careers he didn't have to lose it at all.

A little trivia. Vader's standing splash where he kinda gives the one running into him a snapping hug is called 'The Big Otto'. After Otto Wanz for whom Vader worked in Europe. The name of the move seems to have been (almost) lost in time.

Test vs. Shane was the best match on the card. For someone with very little wrestling experience, Shane had some very good matches in the late 90s and early 2000s. I know SS 99 is not considered the best, but it was the first wwf/e ppv I ever watched, so it has a special place in my heart.

Wcw had the talent and dropped the ball. Undertaker, steve austin, chris jericho, kevin nash, scott hall, triple h, eddie guerrero, rey mysterio, chris benoit, dustin rhodes. All came from wcw, all became legends and icons when they left for the wwe. Sure some of the guys went back to wcw , but every name i mentioned became massive because of wwe. The nwo was a great idea and it was great for a time but it got stale fast . I agree the cruiserweights were the stars of wcw especially towards the end.
