hot take, i really like the 2d/3d movies and series berserk. it looks janky at times, but when it gets to a cool scene it looks beautiful. stuper underrated and pretty much one of the best ways to see berserk other than the manga

poor vendrick, yet another sad and broken old man to be birthed by this dreadfully twisted world. fortunate enough to find himself without the hubris of one who would consider himself a god, and twice fortunate to find himself with a close ally with far more gifted eyesight than himself. but alas, he was no true king, as he was terrified of the darkness, and the unknowns that lurk within.

5:09 "Seek strength... the rest will follow" seems to me like it is in part a reflection on Vendrick's banishment of Raime. We know that Raime harbored suspicions about Nashandra and tried to warn the king, but lost in a duel to Velstadt who remained loyal. He left to seek greater strength, realizing that knowledge with no power to enact it is useless... it kind of seems like Vendrick has come to the same realization, that no matter what path you would seek, you must gain the power necessary to take you there first. This also has a lot of tie ins to Berserk. I really love this line!

Every time, I just tried to sneak past these dudes because I don't wanna fight a Golem and his little pet Molten Silver Tear.
What's interesting is that it's this exact piling of stones that blocks the Spirit Springs from functioning, and you have to knock down to reactivate them. It makes me curious about what the function it serves when placed at a grave is - which is always where you see them doing this.

I think it's interesting because I see it painted as "The whole lot of the Hornsent were bad" which is kind of weird. These little animations paints them in a more human light, suffering and devastated and how their little stones and graves of rubble define their stuck state. Like, I can figure they weren't ALL to blame on what was going on with the jars, it's kind of like a system yknow. But now each and all HATE Marika for what she did, because Marika hates each and all. Goes unspoken imo, but it's a sad picture that also talks on what the cycles of violence are. Kind of, partly, misunderstandings. Nice

I really appreciate the effort Elden Ring puts into the details of all the life around the world. In the midst of all this human suffering, wolves play with each other, crabs raise and feed their young, bats take up roost in abandoned forts, life goes on. It really puts into perspective how one man's tragedy is another animal's treasure

I am sick, most likely diying, were close enough to not being able to breath week or two ago. Feeling so bad... well it is blocked by youtube to say so. Yet aldia dialogue helps me staying here. It brings me hope, peace, it has some understanding in it. And also... The true emotions in the voice acting, so many songs that i heard lacked it, some videos too. World is full of empty vesselfs, i am one of them. Some desperatly want to be full again, or at least, contain something. Hearing them, is partially sickening, most likely because i fear to be found out. One day, you may understand my words, i wish you to not get to this point. One time i were able to escape my faith of empty vessel, yet was shattered again. I were able to reignite it ~3 times in past 4 or so years... yet not once i were able to hold onto it. Perhaps its for better.. But if i will die tomorrow, i wish to ... i wish too much to waste last wish on it. Yet it would be nice to reignite my flame yet again. Farewell traveler.

i don't care what the lore says, it bothers me to no end that the tarnished is a manlet... rise ye hero, and beat the final boss; height. some say the tarnished is still battling this foe to this very day, despite ye righteous title of elden lord. rumor has it the great rune of this foe increases height very slightly... for a time... in mixed physick... maybe.

I like how Aldia really values everyone, and doesnt really say anything bad about them, despite their state. Vendrick hollowed, Vengarl as nothing but a head, The 3 kings. And the young hollowed, that he refers to not as a random vessel, but as someone valuable, who has a chance at achieving their goals. Even though he has all that power, he still stops to talk to the hollow in a respectable manner, not treating him as worse than him.
