Along with others, thank you. The manual is totally worthless; instruction said to move the entire plate with a process that didn't work. Your video and instructions saved me a lot of time. Again, thank you.

Had a YSC120 like this recently. It had the older style fan speed control that was a rheostat. The unit was 600v. Anyways, the blower stopped working. Found out the transformers it uses to drop the voltage from 600 to 460 were blown. So we replaced those, still didn't work. Then we found out the rheostat for the blower speed was fried, so we tried to order that, but it had been superseded by two kits. One being the fancy little digital controller called the ECM, and the other kit being the electrical harness adapter, little backer plate, zip ties, and couple of screws... I'd say the harness kit probably consisted of about $20 of parts. Wel,l that harness kit was actually $1,600 without tax from Trane. Needless to say, this blower fix (without actually ever touching the blower itself or its ecm module behind the motor) totalled over $5000 for the customer. So for anyone interested in a unit with this technology, stay far FAR away.

I want my fan to shut off when the desired temperature is achieved. I’m using the blower fan to circulate heat from my wood stove throughout the house but it won’t shut off unless I manually turn it off

I wish I could turn my fan to automatic without using gas. I have a wood stove that I’d like to circulate the heat using the blower fan. I can do that with the furnace off and the fan on but it won’t automatically shut off at the desired temperature

Anyone here looking for useful info on your Trane unit, don't waste your time. Trane is one of those companies that caters to professionals by intentionally keeping end-users in the dark. Even the user manual is a joke, 2 pages of boilerplate non-information - just enough to make you worry and call out a technician. There website states "Generally speaking, it's best practice to get your air conditioner serviced by a professional twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall, to have them diagnose and handle repairs." LMAO. I've been in my place for 6 years and aside from changing my filter and cleaning my condenser coils, which I do myself, have NEVER required service. With regard to some of the questions here, many units (like my XL14C) will have the filter in the duct, not in the unit. It is good practice to check this area shown in the video, as for example, a part of my filter separated from the duct and got sucked into the condenser, completely blocking it. I just discovered this today, as I was researching and found this video. Aside from the more advanced electrical and gas charging, these units are not complicated. A little investigating goes a long way. Short answer is, SHUT THE POWER OFF and have a look for yourself. Don't go further than your ability/confidence level, and take pics as you take things apart. Chances are, the issue will be obvious. If not, THEN call a tech. Just my $.02. Good luck!

For the TH5220D, the Temperature display can be changed to Celsius. Press and hold the UP and FAN buttons simultaneously until the screen shows Function number 1. Press NEXT until the Function number displayed is 14. Setting 0 is Fahrenheit and setting 1 is Celsius, so press UP until the Setting number is 1 and then press DONE.

I have several VisionPro 8000 thermostats and some are showing the CR2032 battery needs replacing. When I replace it, I get a message to replace the cell battery and the red light at the bottom comes on. It seems to me it doesn't like the new battery. If you can help, I would appreciate.

*I have been converting my home to a smart home **do7.pl/honeywell1** I purchased this thermostat from Amazon, got it installed pretty easily, but it was reading the current temperature 3 degrees higher than my old thermostat, and would not allow me to set the heat above 75.9 degrees F. I searched for an answer on the web, didn't find it. I noticed others said that theirs were not reading the correct temperature, though.I called tech support, number from honeywell's website, and it took only six minutes to correct the problem. There is a setting which allows you to set the max allowable temperature, as well as to set an offset for the display temp. Either one, or both, will solve the problem.Settings>Preferences>Advanced Preferences> you will find them both there, just keep following the prompts.Good Luck.*

"and it will hold until someone presses the run scheduled button" Well mine has a mind of its own evidently. I had my door open for ventilation and the little sucker went back to some schedule where the temp is set for 65 degrees. It seems to love 65 for some reason. It needs to be killed and I will do that as soon as I get a simple up and down one.
