This is probably one of the darkest songs I've written. "You can't expect anyone else to see you through, they'll leave you paddling in the back of your canoe. This life will strip you of all of your possessions." When I wrote this song I was referring to the music industry. But today I was singing about "the higher ups". Seems like the song came full circle with our conversation in the parking lot about how our little community here in Lawrence, Kansas will be the ones that are here for us.. Thank you so much I Heart Local Music!

I'm glad to still see new music popping up despite the seeing corruption or being burned by the music industry. I heard a fantastic country musician named Luke Bell. His 2016 self titled release is one of my most cherished records. But he was the real deal, just like you guys. There was no faking it with him and he saw too much about the music industry and I don't think he could stomach it. Now you can't find anything on him. Like he's completely MIA and went back into the obscurity he came from. Who knows if he'll ever drop another record. But I sincerely do appreciate the music you guys put out.

@@Hayrange thanks for your kind words about our music. We love the record by Luke Bell as well! The music industry can be tough but if you find a group of listeners who truly appreciate your music it can still be very rewarding.
