Living a Sustainable Dream

Living a Sustainable Dream

Years ago we decided we wanted to live a sustainable lifestyle and this became our dream. Now after several years, we are living the dream in a solar powered home. Here we are creating videos to explain our systems and how we live a 21st century lifestyle on an off grid homestead. To see more behind the scenes information please visit our blog at livingasustainabledream.com.

Feel free to visit and shop our homestead business at Pauper's Candle Company pauperscandles.com/ and support our channel with each purchase.

Thank you for joining our online family.

    Whoa!!! There's a way easier way to fix it, that doesn't involve tearing the bottom apart. All you had to do was undo the nut at the bottom, then use a screwdriver to release the strain relief holding the power cord. Once the cord and socket are loose, pull from the top and fix it. No reason to mangle that base

    Sound is back June 5th 2024 in Detroit Michigan. I googled strange sounds like a constant Jet engine.

    This sound happened tonight in my town in north Tx. The whole town heard it and this is exactly what it sounded like. Just before we heard it dogs started barking. Including our dog in the house. At 1st I thought it was thunder because we've been having storms daily here but it lasted too long. My husband went outside as the noise stopped. Everyone on Facebook is talking about it. It didn't last near this long. After it stopped it started again for a couple of seconds. It scared me.

    Those things are in mint condition Searched this because I went to Sunriver a couple time from southern, California when I was a kid. 7 - 10yo They had an arcade there but I don't remember the name. Coming from the concrete jungle Sunriver was unbelievable. White water rafting, lava caves, paved winding bicycle paths, etal. I remember this volcano - is it black butte? (edit: it's lava butte") - but it was a cone of basalt lava rock, no vegitation. Weirdest thing I'd ever seen. You drive right next to it when you're going in Bend. The landscape and surroundings there are amazing. When I went (early 80's) Bend was a one-horse-town compared to now. We'd have to go there for supplies though. Anyway, thanks for your time and effort in creating and posting this video.

    I came across this video while trying to identify a sound I heard today, May 6, 2024, between 8:30 AM and the current time as I write this comment at 9:51 AM. Although not as loud, the sound is unmistakably emanating from the sky. I took a walk around the block, and the sound remained constant, never shifting. It vaguely resembles the distant hum of a car on an open road or the roar of a jet in the sky, albeit lower, constant, and stationary. Despite the constant stream of passing planes and cars, the sound persists. I spend a lot of time outdoors, and this is unlike anything I've heard here before. While there are periodic cicadas emerging, this sound is distinctly different from that.

    I bought but have yet to install a Kitchen Queen stove, so I have a few questions. Which model do you have? How does it heat your space (and how many sqft)? Have you ever had any problems with those angle fittings on your thermosiphon heater leaking? We bought a 750 and had a much bigger house in mind originally, now we'll have a much smaller cabin and I'm afraid it might be too big.

    You have more space to work at the bottom of the fan instead the sides or top. It took me 3 mins to change it. Also, it is easier to work on the opposite side of the tractor. Thanks for your video!!

    I have a 2022 CK4010se with 300 hours. The OEM belt is squealing at startup then goes away. Do I just need to tighten to tension to get the squeal to go away?

  • @LivingaSustainableDream
    @LivingaSustainableDream4 ай бұрын

    @BossSwanger Difficult to say without seeing it. You might need to tighten by adjusting the alternator. However, it could mean the belt is stretched and you may need a new belt.

    Yes, that is the sound of a natural gas pipeline venting to air as they depressurize it. Amazing these corporations can do this without notifying the public as they break laws on noise ordinances and leave the public in bewilderment on what is going on. When I 1st heard it, I thought of the jets flying off in the movie Greenland. Once I knew what it was, a gas pipeline, I was pretty upset by the panic the company caused without notifying anyone in the local area via newspaper or radio news updates.

    so im not guessing as most are , THIS sound is a large sky craft that is CLOAKED . all sounds are non earth craft, this one if you ever were DIRECTLY UNDER IT as i was sounds like a 777 100 feet over your head . i heard it approaching, directly over me and listen to it travel to west SLOWLY , day time clear sky . in this case your near it but it is not passing directly over you . all sky sounds are craft . I say this because I KNOW THIS SOUND IS and they all stated the same time . the other sounds are just larger and higher many hide in clouds they CLOAKED as clouds . some are what you may call mother ships and sound like beast or trumpets . these are smaller and travel lower they may even be landing at full knowledge of g world governments. ALL WORLD GOVERNMENT KNOW < EVERYTHING GOING ON IN THE WORLD IS SCRIPTED DISTRACTION .

    @irsfraudexposed, This sound was a natural gas transfer station less than 5 miles from my home. The amateur radio community confirmed it as a trusted friend and radio operator saw and heard the natural gas transfer station pipe venting to air. It took a little sluething in the real world with with real people to discover it. The internet offers a lot of creative theories, but the local community had the answers through observation, deduction, and logging data surrounding the event. Nice guess though.

    That particular belt on my CK3510SE has always been useless. It continually stretches, requiring tightening again to keep the fan running (as well as alternator, ac, etc.). I ran out of adjustment area so now the belt needs to be replaced. The larger belt has the same issue, but not as bad. My Kioti only has 40 hours on it and both belts useless from the poor quality and stretching. I would never buy a belt from Kioti because of this issue. I think you made the right choice.

    After I replaced the Sher pins there is a load bang noise every time the blower is used how come ?

  • @LivingaSustainableDream
    @LivingaSustainableDream7 ай бұрын

    IDK, not enough info to diagnose. Many possibilities, pending how often the bang occurs, if the fan or auger is still moving? Has the gearbox oil been checked? It took me a day to figure out my key sheared.

    We're you still able to throw snow, but it didn't throw very far? Or did the fan and/or augers not turn?

  • @LivingaSustainableDream
    @LivingaSustainableDream7 ай бұрын

    @karenschreck6788 We could not throw snow. Both auger and fan turned, but without the key, the fan would stop spinning when trying to move snow, and the bolt holding the fan on would begin to unthread.

    I heard this exact noise/sound last week (August 2023) in Federal Heights, Adams Unincorporated, Colorado. As described in this video, it lasted an hour, and sounded like the rumble of jets flying over, and the sound became weaker as time passed. I disagree that it came from a pas pipe line purge.
