    (Reaction) You may play the piano extremely well but your reaction to Dimash, and particularly the D8 notes, was ……. vapid. And that’s putting it mildly.

    If we check other versions that Dimash sings of this song (which he wrote when he was younger), we can see a melisma or other very beautiful variations in this part of the "whistle". Here, singing on an open stage and with some discomfort in the return (we can see it several times by adjusting the headphones) we realize, in this specific part of the song, that he is going to do something and, not being able to do what he would like (Perhaps the interference of the audience or the inaccurate response of the sound, a fact that impaired his concentration), he then issued this wonderful and historic C#8 modulated to D8, with vibrato! In a more technical analysis, we can see that the notes sound dissonant, as they do not belong to the harmonic field of the tonality of the music. Still, it's a demo of technique! He must have instantly thought, "Since I couldn't do what I wanted, I'll improvise!" So he emitted the inconceivable, supernatural D8 (4698.64 Hz)! Of course, this is a joke to me, but it makes one wonder: What is Dimash's limit?

    Elvis' best unknown/unspoken talents were arranging and production. He knew what he wanted and looked for the best singers and musicians. If you watch the movie that this footage is from, That's The Way It Is, you can see how he's in charge and explains how he wants the big sound, but yet very subtle at the same time. The rehearsal parts are some of my favorites. It also shows how he interacted with his band and singers.

    I was around, I first loved him in 1956 when I was 12 years old. I flipped out and I am still obsessed with him at 80 years old. He impacted music and culture he was earth shattering for his moves and how he sang. He was a kind a generous man who gave away almost as much as he made. He was born into poverty in 1935, so poor, in a black neighborhood, he loved gospel, especially at the black church where he joined the choir. To this day his gospel has sold more than any single performer in the world. He sang every kind of music and had an almost 3 octave range. Thank you for this great reaction. Be Blessed. Mary

    I appreciate your talent for quickly learning how to perform different songs. We all wonder why you didn't hear the D8, but maybe it was on purpose, or maybe you don't hear such high notes anymore. An interesting fact, however, is the man's unplanned live performance of D8 with vibrato. Dimash composed the song as a teenager, and the use of many instruments proves his high level as a composer, as well as his imagination and ability to arrange music for various instruments

    My youngest son was born in 1971. I saw Elvis twice in concert, so, yes, I was around. If you're impressed with the arrangement of that performance, it was all Elvis. He was in charge of how that song was performed from beginning to end. He was an arranger without having the actual creds.

    Elvis did the arrangements for a lot of his music. The song is eternal; I remember having to sing it in choir when I was in high school. The entire choir put together weren't as good as Elvis's rendition. Thanks for the reaction and for the piano playing; Elvis played piano too along with the guitar, the bass, drums, organ, the accordian. A truly multi-faceted talent.

    In order for some one to do musical arrangements, you must know how to read music and be able to write music. Now since Elvis could do neither. It never happened. But the good news for you is, I have some hens teeth for sale. They are a little yellow, but they still fetch high prices.

  • @mrchips4489
    @mrchips44892 күн бұрын

    @@bwana-ma-coo-bah425 What I meant is that Elvis decided what instrumentation he did/didn't want & their tempo & when/where he wanted the backup groups to come in; I wasn't suggesting that he literally wrote the arrangements. I know you love trolling Elvis fans but really, your sarcasm isn't really necessary. Have a good day.

    @@mrchips4489 Perhaps in the future you should chose the words that say what you mean, as difficult as that might be. So now let me ask you this. Why is it that I see the same people making the same comments about Elvis, however you don't call them a troll and neither do I? Is it because you don't want people to know the truth about Elvis? Elvis decided nothing. Elvis was just a puppet, controlled by the colonel.
