    Kinda hard to find a video specifically about real estate photography using this phone. I learned about this phone while researching ultrawide lens phones for using for listing videos on a gimbal. Still good in 2024 you think? Do you use it?

    Nice video thx!! What would be a good camera to get for the following situation? I ride motorcycles, and love the idea of recording my rides for several reasons... The first reason is. If I ever get into an accident, well it's always a great thing to be able to defend the truth on what actually happened and have it recorded. And secondly, it would be great to record while I ride, and talk about the areas , the wonderful scenery here in Europe, Spain... I've seen others do it and their KZread channels. It's pretty cool showing where they go, and the vistas are just tops... Is the focus on the rider, then on the side, and then changed to the front view controlled by the rider, or does it change to different angles from time to time? I know, it's probably a dumb question ❓ but ... Would you suggest this type of camera, or another type for what I'd like to do here? Hey, thx again, 😊

    This is absolutely incredible, you made it so simple! I’m a realtor. I used to do TV, and still make KZread videos, so I absolutely love the editing process. I could geek out on editing photos or video 24/My wife is my photographer, so I’m the one sorting through all 500+ pictures and editing the favorites. 😂 It’s great, but very time consuming. I’d like to hear more about color grading for some of these yellow dingy houses.

    How do you correct what you call digital green without dehancer ?

  • @jeremydeihl

    It depends on what program you are editing in, but you can also do this effect by adjusting the greens in the u-verse saturation. It just takes a little more time than Dehancer does

    So I have a question: in my case I own both the x4 and an osmo action 4 (aside from professional cameras). Why would I use the 360 instead of a regular wide angle action camera for a virtual tour? For exteriors and 360 pictures it definitely makes sense, but other than that you’re basically use a single lens mode. Are there any actual benefits to using the 360?

  • @jeremydeihl
    @jeremydeihl15 күн бұрын

    Aww man, so many reasons why, but her are just the ones I can think of in 2 minutes: 1) the stabilization is way better on the 360 cam 2) no gimbal required to keep the camera straight and level. 3) much easier to get both vert and horz shots from the same clip without shooting the property twice

  • @DrewProject
    @DrewProject15 күн бұрын

    @@jeremydeihl interesting. The action 4 can shoot 4:3 and you can decide the format later. Has horizon balancing which works as well as the x4. And the stabilization is great, no need for gimbals. What I’m curious about is whether you would actually reframe the shot in a way that’s not possible with just a single lens camera/mode. Don’t get me wrong, your work is amazing and i loved the video, I’m just trying to figure out whether i (so it’s a very personal question/pov for me, definitely not something that would work for everyone) would be better served by a single lens camera in this specific instance. I already own them both so for me it’s not a matter of what to buy. 😊

  • @jeremydeihl
    @jeremydeihl15 күн бұрын

    @@DrewProject let me ask you a question, have you ever actually tried to use your Action 4 for real estate videos without a gimbal? My biggest problem is that the cameras are extremely light and small, which means it's very very difficult to keep straight horizontal lines and verticals without a gimbal. It may be able to remove a bit of wobble, but it will never be able to correct that one single issue. I have tried it with the Action 4, the Ace Pro, the GO 3S and even with that super old Sony action Cam, the RX0 I think it's called? They all have that one single issue without a gimbal. Personally I can get super smooth footage with a full sized rig and just a top handle, but can't get even clips that stay vertically correct with action cams to save my life. 9/10 times either my camera will list to the left or slightly tip up, either way there verticals are shot and that clip is unusable. With a 360 cam it does not matter what way you tilt or list the camera the verts are always correct. Not only that the ability to pull better looking clips from a full 360 image is way easier than 4:3 IMO.

    @@jeremydeihl oh that’s interesting. Thank you for the insight! No i haven’t. I don’t do real estate, I mainly work on movie sets with bigger cameras. But I’ve recently been asked to start doing some real estate so i came across your channel trying to do some research on the topic. I think i should have started with that haha. So the horizon balance on the single lens action cameras don’t work as well with straight lines. That’s very interesting to know I had no idea. This technique seems to have been very successful for you, congratulations. Unfortunately for me, however, I would lose 90% of my real estate clients if I delivered images using this technique. Like you mentioned in your presentation, "they are not the best" images. I would agree many realtors just do not care and in reality even with bad images, appropriately priced homes sell. My clients realize that the images do not sell homes, they are simply used to attract attention to a property in order to facilitate a showing. My clients demand the best images as they recognize, that for them, the images are more about building their brand in order to acquire new client listings. In my market, to produce magazine quality images, 50+ images are going to take at least 2 hours to develop. I do not lose any income as my clients are willing to pay more in order to acquire better images. Bottom line, I shoot fewer jobs but produce the same income. Just a different business model that new photographers to the field may want to someday consider.

  • @jeremydeihl
    @jeremydeihl29 күн бұрын

    The way I see it and tell those who follow my channel is simple. Do what's best for you in your marketplace. While it used to be much much more, this style of imagery now only comprises about 20-25% of my current income for the market I'm based in, but that is an extra 20-25% I would have missed out on if I did not offer these lower end, investment property shoots. Again, this is not meant to replace higher end images, it's meant to supplement your income by offering services to investors or cheap agents. They may not be your cup of tea, and they definitely are not my cup of tea, but the harsh reality is that agents buy a shit ton of them from me. If I was to get rid of this lower end style, I would simply lose that extra money I'm making that requires less effort, input and time from my side. If I only offered the style of images I wanted to create in my marketplace I would be out of business in 2 months. For me, I'm all about making money and this is just another easy income stream for my RE photo/video business.

    I can’t imagine this type of workflow for anything under 2 grand. Just insane, don’t know about you but most agents I know in many markets don’t want to spend no more than 3-500 depending on your market. I am not willing to color grade like this for that low. Crazy, I sure hope you’re getting top dollar because if you’re not you a god damn fool. I sell my videos for 325, straight point and shoot, no fancy transitions or effects. Takes 30-40 mins to shoot about hour to hour and half for editing. Can spit those out all day long and easily bring in 4 grand a week with other add ons

  • @jeremydeihl
    @jeremydeihlАй бұрын

    Well we all have our opinions and workflows, but I can tell you this workflow typically takes me 2 hours on site including photos and about an hour at home to edit everything and my charge to the client on that is over $500 so it sounds to me like I'm actually making more than you in the same amount of time. Sorry if my technique and the editing workflow I have built makes you mad? Haha But on a more serious note, I'm all about building procedures that would typically take a long time, and shortening those processes so it allows me to do a higher quality of work for the same amount of time most can do lower quality. It's why I can charge the prices I do and it's why I'm the busiest videographer in my area for real estate services.

  • @gregallen1
    @gregallen1Ай бұрын

    @@jeremydeihl well 500 a video is not bad, color grading on Divinci looks like a nightmare. Maybe i came off to harsh on the fool part but I did color grading on slog 3 for a bit with premiere. Took me forever and finally came to my senses that most agents don’t know the difference. Still shoot on slog3 for dynamic range, just now I use 2 adjustment layers over the clips. 1 for the rec 709 and the other for a simple S Curve. If I could get 7-800 plus a video then I’d definitely treat it more like a movie edit production
