    Thanks for your video! I have an old worn rub block. Should I try to find a machine shop to put a new surface on it, or can I flatten it with a diamond plate or glass and grit similar to how a whetstone is flattened?

    Damn it. I saw this video right after I sharpened my blade. I saw the hollow grind shape and was wondering if tit was on purpose. Instead of checking, I just grinded away until it’s flat.
