Hello!
My name is Mhortai & I have been a World of Warcraft player since 2004. I enjoy both retail & classic versions of the game. I do a lot of collection in the game but my favorite game mode is PvP. I love watching & learning about arena but am not very good at it. My passion is for battlegrounds. There is nothing better in my opinion. I also love Overwatch and go on big Overwatch binges from time to time as well.

This is why PVP is dead in this game you can't really kill anyone 1 vs 1 as a ret paladin with all the cc and mobility other classes got compared to a miserable stun and blind as a ret gg blizz
Keep in mind this all all footage before any PvP tuning has happened too. So some things may change.
hunter doesn't look busted at all :D Not only you got outhealed by that hunter, you also got nuked in 3 sec
There has been like zero pvp tuning so far too. We should see more PvP tunning in the next week or two.
im thinking about buying the beta just to play rated blitz - how long is the queue? is it worth it? youre the only person ive seen post blitz on the beta.
At this point not sure it's worth paying for the beta with pre-patch in 2 weeks and rated Blitz will be out then. Most of my footage is from the 2 play with the blues events they did and then there was one random Saturday people were queuing where I got some games in. Last time I tried, which has been a few weeks now, queues were pretty dead. I may try today actually.

Well solo shuffle was implemented during prepatch of Dragonflight so I assume it will work the same way. I can’t 100% confirm but you can play it as rated there just won’t be any seasonal rewards. That is the way it should work anyway.
I miss when i would pop CDs and it would actually do damage. Way to much healing for me from everyone
Ya got a little insight into things recently. All of PvP being balanced around 3v3 which means also around dampening is why outside of arena there are so many issues. But healing in general is super OP. Not just healers but even dps self healing. All because of M+ it’s nuts.

@@nicob8922 play with the blue (dev) event. All my footage minus a few videos are from the two play with the blue events they did. One Saturday people were randomly queuing out of no where but overall queues never pop.

How are you playing battleground blitz, if there are no BG's ongoing
There was one weekend people were queuing on beta so I got games in then. The other time was the play with the devs event.

This one I'm on Fury Mountain Thane. I was trying to get it to work for me, but it's my least favorite of the warrior DPS options. It has to sacrifice pretty much every single survivability enhancing talent in order to fully lean into it's AOE aspect. :(
Oh, and that druid healer that ran off leaving you alone was Markers.

Why are you targeting me so much? ;P People just want to test damage and avoid the objectives, but avoiding the objectives makes for much shorter BGs to do actual testing. Catch 22!
I don't even notice who I am targeting most of the time honestly lol. Names anyway. I just see Warrior, or Mage rofl. Even if I know the person when I am in it I just see Warrior lol.

Going to have to give fire mage a go before the season is over.
It's pretty fun. Not have to cast a lot helps too lol.
Like the music in this one. Fire mages can be tough to fight. Hard to stop their damage. :(
I for the longest time mostly played frost. Been playing a lot of fire in Dragonflight though when I play my Mage. I can do a lot. Damage is very bursty. I have two builds one revolves more around AoE and Living Flame/Ignite spread which if I am in mostly team fights can put a lot of pressure on the enemy team. As a DH I can win, but I almost never end up in just a 1v1 lol.
Death striking is just usually not worth it unless you have just killed someone. :( It can't out heal INC damage and shuts down your counterpressure. Lose/lose situation.

...and the ground target clips the top of the flag ruining the ability. Happens so much, I wish they would introduce some smart ground targeting. No, I don't want to AoE stun the wooden beam at the top of the tunnel in SSM that my target reticule happened to clip when I was pressing the ability. :P

A part of this is the comp as well. UHDK and devastation evoker is nasty ATM because devastation is just putting out massive damage if they can AOE cleave you which DK can set up for them. Also fist weaver for the leg sweep after DK pulls everyone in for the devastation AOE massacre. Also, is that a guardian druid?
Ya we were just playing for fun. Obvious when our team is Guardian Druid, Disc Priest and Ret Paladin lol.

In general, I feel the 15 ppl maps just became too big. Nowadays, we play them with half the number of people and it shows. I also share your feelings about gilneas.

One of the cool things about Blitz is the emphasis on self-awareness for objectives which can allow you to win even when your team is getting smoked on kills. VERY rare to see the team dominating on kills losing in TOK in random BGs.

Interesting take though its really in any game that has PVP. I play pvp in other games but being direct - people take far too personally I think being direct is fine. But sending private DMs saying " you suck " without offering anything else are pretty useless. If someone sent me a private DM saying you suck use this ability or try and get this " loot " thatd be better but that also evens the playing field too which I dont think people want.
People do take things to personal sometimes I agree.

Yeesh. I've had some bad teams but nothing like THAT. Also saw the TOK where you had six people. Lots of luck is going to be involved in some of the matches. Some teams you simply can't win with no matter how well you play. And, yes, sub rogues are dumb af.
I recorded that game to and with put the TOK up at some point lol. I lost a close EOTS game today because someone grab the flag and took it to an inactive base and sat there with it. All they had to do was cap and and we would have won lol. Didn't record that one sadly.
I thought it was just a design decision because I've queued with another healer before as healer and had a ton of fun splitting resources and rotating through cds better. I haven't seen a hard stance on Blizzard yet about it but I'm not gonna be mad if they take it away
I mean it literally specified dps/healer. We will see though. My mind on it has gone back and forth. To me though it's supposed to be a solo queue mode. I am not even 100% on board with dps/healer honestly. But double healer duo is a BIG advantage for one side. They also have to figure out the sync queuing that is going on now. Just a lot of ways to kind of get around it being a solo queue mode. Which most people in a match will have queues solo.
Where did it say that? I remember queue with a friend as a healer. I never saw the dps part. I do not think that throwing games will become a problem. I do however think that duo heal will be very strong. On the other hand, maybe this will incetivize people into playing healers again after they have been pummeled by solo shuffle
Good video and it is great to expose design flaws such as this! I haven't looked much into BG Blitz atm but assuming that they are 8v8 then no tanks would get involved as well? Also at this point they really should just give a way to reset rating for boosters so they don't do this ludicrous throwing strat to line their pockets.
Thanks around involved but at least right now they are rare. You can ONLY get a flag map if both sides have a tank though. So sadly right now flag maps are mega rare.
Hopefully it is just a bug and not a design decision.

Hah, yeah. I think I have a recent TOK on fury warrior where my main targets were the hunters just to counterpressure them so they couldn't free cast. Best map for MM by far.
I was in this one too on your side as balance druid. I ended up capping the first lava cart. After I got 4v1d there, I body rezzed and killed the solo defender they left there. From that point on I just avoided our team and tried ninja capping the offcarts. When I see a team start like ours did I figure it's just a loss anyway. Got top cart a few times since I can abuse typhoon and haymaker.

Your team just kind of fell apart after the team fight in middle. I was the DH on the other side.
Ya that is how things go. We also had people going to bases that weren't active at the start and sitting there. A lot of teams seem to struggle if they don't win team fight in mid.
I am also terrible with names. I am easy to pick out in BGs because I have the same name on every toon lol. Minus my Warlock who I don't play a ton.

I enjoy CTF maps since they're more team fight oriented. I do wish we'd get them without tanks. Battle for Gilneas is getting old quickly, lol
I get Silvershard A LOT
Flag carry maps need to be available without a tank. Since the number of maps is reduced without a tank, it leads to a lot of repetition on the other maps. If more maps were available, it might not be such a big deal, but man getting the same maps over and over can get a little stale.
Ya I get Silvershard Mines a lot which isn't terrible because I enjoy this map. But it does get a little old.
I never get FC maps. Thinking of changing to tank so maybe I will get some lmao

I'm ok with the Engineering changes. I am not ok with the open world consumables. I don't think this is going to create a better environment for casual players.
I think the consumables already existed before though. They changed them from being purchasable with ire last season to blood tokens this season. Made them WAY more expensive. Then they change them again today. They have a 5 minute cooldown as well. I think it will be ok.
