I think the D41 tends to be a little stiffer than the HD28. Perhaps a bit less scalloped.

i've had about 50 guitars since 2013 of all sorts, cheapo unbranded ones and some keepers, i have a '66 J45 i bought in the 70's and lately got hold of a '69 epiphone texan. the best of the bunch i currently own is my martin OOOX1, i paid £350 for with case and i see the sell for as little as £250 and as much as £600, but mine is a fantastic, no kidding, fantastic guitar. better than my larrivee, better than my maton TE, better than the J45's so good that i bought another to compare. totally different guitar, exact same spec, HPL back and sides - man made should be exactly the same no? same spec but totally different sound. and this has been my cut and paste comment for years now - try every guitar you can lay your hands on cos they are all unique - even two guitars made from the same woodstock on the same day by the same guy will sound different. play them - one will jump out at you regardless of make, model or price.

nice guitars- while they are both 'OM' in nomenclature - the size difference is significant- Larrivee being a larger guitar.- generally more volume and punch along with the clarity/balance Larrivee brings...

The amazing thing about the CEO-7 is that it’s both a Martin and a Gibson and is very good at both. I’ve played one quite a few times and I need one.

@viktorviktor9995Ай бұрын

@josephryan5396Ай бұрын
It's very close to mahogany but slightly more high end. Mahogany is a little harder to source so it costs a bit more but that doesn't mean it sounds better or worse than sapele. Ovangkol would be the closest cheaper alternative to rosewood.

Beautiful sound, guitar and voice.. would be great to see a comparison between the eastman OM´s like E1OM, E3OME, E8OM. Can´t decide between sapele, ovangkol and rosewood. :)

You know how to mic a guitar. Sounds fantastic. I got an excellent deal on a mint D10e WITH Martin hard case for $680 total shipped/taxes included. I like it... but I don't love it. It doesn't hold a candle to my Alvarez MD70EBG, which is the same price roughly (and has bone nut/saddle/pins, real rosewood back/sides, etc. Just a far better value and feels 10x better to play) so I'm going to sell the DM10e and get a D18 instead so I can have something mahogany. Shame because I love the D10e's electronics / tuner / pearl inlay.

I have this guitar, it’s perfect but takes a little taming. D’Addario EJ19 Bluegrass PB which is Medium bass to light treble, plus a Blue Chip TD45 Pick, and I put it up against any other acoustic around. But I insist on this exact combo.
