    Biggest difference to champ seems to be there are no easy wide open goals unless someone is napping.

    Really great video, I really appreciate what you're doing here. I'll like to give a different perspective if that's okay: 1:25 - For this example, I'd say that you shouldn't position mid when 2 opponents are back, especially if it looks like the your mate is getting challenging from the first man quickly. The reason is because if you position mid, and your mate doesn't get past the first man, you're not close enough to pick up the second ball to maintain that final 3rd offensive pressure on the field. Therefore, if you stay behind mate, and if he beats the first man, you can quickly boost into mid for the pass. And if he doesn't beat the first man, you're close enough to pick the second ball. This is, in my humble opinion, the most effective way to play 2s since it leads to boost starving and an eventual goal the longer you maintain final 3rd offensive pressure. 2:15: Again, have to respectfully disagree. Your mate has no boost which means it's difficult to generate enough power for a pass. If the opponents know how to defend, this is easy to prevent a goal. All they will need to do is one player pressure the mate with no boost, and the other mate just pushes up to cover the pass, and that's it. It's shutdown. Instead, you play behind mate and wait for him to tank a 50 so that you're close enough to beat their second man to the second ball that drops. In your example, your mate tanks a 50 and fortunately it bobbles high and bounces kindly for you, but what if the 50 was a dead 50? Now you're far away from the play and the opponent will take ball and you're in a 2 v 1. One opponent will take the ball, and the other will demo chase you since your mate has no boost and won't be able to get back in time to help you. I don't have time to finish all of the comments I wanted to make but I might edit this comment with more of my perspective when I get the chance. Like I said, I appreciate the video and just wanted to give my take on a couple of things so far. Thank you!

    Been loving your videos as I have been playing a little bit more (I stopped season 13 gc GOLD TITLE) only question is where you say defend from deep in the back post, when I use to play it was sit just next to the back post not inside? Has this changed?

  • @goosemonkey10
    @goosemonkey106 күн бұрын

    I find sitting inside the net gives you just a bit more vision of the attackers and also helps your touches send the ball away from net. Sitting at near post opens up the option to accidentally touch it into your net but it’s also not a bad spot to be if you think you might wanna play on backboard

    Your videos and tutorials consistently provide so many invaluable, imperative fundamentals that I often don't see posted anywhere, or if it is it is poorly articulated. I find myself drawn more to your content in RL more than any other content creator out there. Don't stop posting your high-iq videos, it's refreshing to have someone so straight to the point and precise with their imperative insights.

    These videos are super helpful understanding positioning. One thing I struggle with is when to get on backboard on defense. I'm C1 and understand I need to play backboard but don't know when on rotation I should be driving up the backboard. Like the first backboard play at 9:14, you drive past net and up the backboard. I would just stayed in backpost probably killing my momentum. Then the second backboard play at 9:56, I would of drove up the sidewall to challenge. If you can explain your positioning and rotation getting to backboard in future videos, that would be helpful. Thanks!

    I love how I can understand everything in this video, and yet I'm hardstuck c1 because of my rotations and positioning. Maybe that will change soon.

    interesting and informative, I would deffo like to see 3's related take on rotations and actually aknowledging the right times to push. After my coaching session I feel a lot more confident in my ability, but now I personally see where many others go wrong or just simply don't understand what they are doing wrong and why. And thus I think it would be great for them to be able to learn and understand these things. One other thing that erks me is 2's players coming to 3's and being way to hesitant, not understanding they do not have the time to play with the ball. Because 3's players will not respect the plays like that and challenge. I see way to many players thinking they can play 3's like a 2's match, they IMO are NOT the same game.

  • @goosemonkey10
    @goosemonkey108 күн бұрын

    I wish my mate would really emphisize the point you make about the contribution. He is Mechanically better and faster than me in the game we both know this but he thinks he has to do everything and cuts like a madman and touches the ball on every occassion he can. I am C2 and he is low GC still most games we loose are due to me reading the game seeing his contribution is over. He has no boost and the ball is behind him instead of letting me take over and rotating behind me he will try and turn and get to the ball again. I cannot say how often he has outplayed me with this crap and the result is, I wasted boost for nothing and I am out of the play and he has no boost and after he outplayed me he gets the ball taken away fom the oppoenent who has boost and saw it comming. We get scored on alot like this. The sad part is he is really good but he just doesn´t see it. I give him all the room and cover him but the other way around he takes up my room too much. No way to get out of champ with him even thou he is so much better.

    @@goosemonkey10 Sure we are good friends and im having fun just feels like im stuck in my rank because of this. He mey be GC1 but we are playing in C2, my comfortable rank, if it was GC then yeah I probably couldn´t keep up and that makes him cut and do as I said but in my rank its actually not necessary its rather hindering.

    As someone who literally hit GC for the first time a few days ago, this is super useful. Some of this carried me up there and the rest i can implement into my gameplay now. One thing to point out though it to stay close to the play when rotating off the ball. This allows you to get into the play if you are needed, but you can still grab pads. 100 boost isnt necessary every time

    this was seriously one of the most valuable coaching vids i've watched in a long time. as a always teetering around in C3 in 2s and never able to quite get to GC, you called out everything i tend to do in those situations. sure occasionally ill make a gc like rotation or decision but on average i'm doing what you said i'd likely do in some many of those situations and seeing you give the better decision to make was super helpful. thanks. one of these days i'm gonna join the discord and ask for a session lol.

    Yooo for the air dribbling tip at 4:31 I got advice for console players. We can go into free play and get up close the the ball and press the launch button. From there try to carry the ball effectively to the backboard. After you can stick to the ball pretty well, try guiding it into the goal practice going to each corner. Like if this helped💯✊🏽🤣 I’m plat 1 no one special I just started this year and been grinding this game everyday.

    Well done on the video!! But amalox going into the chat going “mines a lot better,” and then as he is missing it, he’s trying to cover himself up with the air dribble setup, not the actual mechanic; I don’t appreciate that behavior at all. I’m not trying to trash talk on amalox or anything, I just did not like it. Thats not how we are supposed to act, and I do not agree with covering your mistakes up. His wasn’t a big deal, but its important in other parts of life. Sorry for the ramble lol, but great video!
