I was homeless threw Lockdown, never did 1 day lock down. Police knew n then at the end of lockdown they tried put us (homeless, addicts) in hotels, that went down really well, not. Ruined the reputation of every selected hotel. Real bad times.

I believe they can. Honesty, transparency, and clear boundaries are paramount. The boundaries part is almost more important for the friend than it is the person with mental illness. That’s how my last friendship fell apart. He was a younger dude too. Perhaps he thought he was a different person than he is. He knew I had “issues”, but after 3 years he grew resentful of me. Sucks that he was also my manager at my now former job. He fired me when I was on sick leave. Still had time off, knew that I just started therapy, and lied about the circumstances to a higher up. I could of took him to court over it but I was just already in a bad mindset. Almost sent me over the edge. This was a month ago now. Still hurts. I want to believe it’s possible, but I can’t for the love of God figure it out. I want to blame myself for my weakness. For the trauma getting the better of me. But, I told him. He said he’s be there. Be a friend. Maybe I’m wrong for thinking this, but I always have to reach out. No reaches for me. So maybe we just have to hold on to the people who actually reach out when we don’t want to. The people who can sense we are off and they know.

I watch u and I'm going threw so much of what you have been threw. U are inspiring me to strive forward and better myself, for myself. I don't want to be the guy I've been in the past, in my future. It's such a hard journey but I'm enjoying rewards of achieving day to day tasks that would never happen before, basically self gratification. I used to think I was worthless, now I belive in a purpose. Thanks mate , 👍 keep up the amazing work.

While I may never have lost someone to s*icide, I have come close to doing it myself, since I was 9 years old to 19, I thought about it. I knew it wasn't the best option, but it felt like a better one than to continue suffering, unheard and neglected. I am glad I held on and had the self preservation to stop myself. I am so proud of little me for being so strong in the face of DV and SA, as a witness and survivor. I hope to one day become a paediatrician and child psychologist, maybe so I can help children who are suffering like I was. The greatest trouble however, is that our so called golden country, Australia, does not make annual checkups (biannual would be even better) for children mandatory. If it was a parental responsibility to take their child(ren) to the doctor once or twice a year, so many children and teens wouldn't feel the desire to end their life. They wouldn't spend their whole childhoods struggling, dealing with neglected diseases, such as ADHD, ASD, scoliosis, depression, obesity, anorexia, etc. It starts with our children. It should end with them growing up healthy, happy, well adjusted adults, not ending their lives before they really begin.

I just subscribed to your channel. Your post about 2 things to say to.a person with suicidal ideation is phenomenal. I am unable to know that I am loved. Will my fate be the grave? The possibility of this happening is increasing. Bipolar2, anxiety, adhd, ptsd....I have obtained a death sentence. Still petitioning Jesus to do what was common when He walked the earth, which is heal me. What do you tell your good Christian friends when God has not provided healing which the Bible says is available? How do you live with a brain that don't work properly? You pray!!! You beg and cry to God. You ask Him to kill you - Isaiah 57:1,2 Treatment and meds over 4 decades has not healed me. Fear of eternal hell and the pain I would feel in the suicide attempt has made it difficult to leave life via suicide....

While I may never have lost someone to s*icide, I have come close to doing it myself, since I was 9 years old to 19, I thought about it. I knew it wasn't the best option, but it felt like a better one than to continue suffering, unheard and neglected. I am glad I held on and had the self preservation to stop myself. I am so proud of little me for being so strong in the face of DV and SA, as a witness and survivor. I hope to one day become a paediatrician and child psychologist, maybe so I can help children who are suffering like I was. The greatest trouble however, is that our so called golden country, Australia, does not make annual checkups (biannual would be even better) for children mandatory. If it was a parental responsibility to take their child(ren) to the doctor once or twice a year, so many children and teens wouldn't feel the desire to end their life. They wouldn't spend their whole childhoods struggling, dealing with neglected diseases, such as ADHD, ASD, scoliosis, depression, obesity, anorexia, etc. It starts with our children. It should end with them growing up healthy, happy, well adjusted adults, not ending their lives before they really begin.
My brother committed suicide a few days ago. I so wish it would’ve been an open conversation. Now there’s regret and unanswered questions and guilt of What did I mess?

I just subscribed to your channel. Your post about 2 things to say to.a person with suicidal ideation is phenomenal. I am unable to know that I am loved. Will my fate be the grave? The possibility of this happening is increasing. Bipolar2, anxiety, adhd, ptsd....I have obtained a death sentence. Still petitioning Jesus to do what was common when He walked the earth, which is heal me. What do you tell your good Christian friends when God has not provided healing which the Bible says is available? How do you live with a brain that don't work properly? You pray!!! You beg and cry to God. You ask Him to kill you - Isaiah 57:1,2 Treatment and meds over 4 decades has not healed me. Fear of eternal hell and the pain I would feel in the suicide attempt has made it difficult to leave life via suicide....
All i know my friend is that i see you and you are loved. Forget trying to convince Christians. Would they chastise a crippled soldier for his lack of faith? Or a person in a wheelchair? You have an injury my friend nothing more. Besides the devil doesn't respond to medication. You are precious.
