Thanks for showing this. It will prove quite helpful when we build one for ourselves in Sept. 2 questions for you: 1. What thickness of plywood did you use and would you recommend that - why or why not. 2. did the lack of cushion on the backrest in couch mode cause any issues? Thanks for taking the time to answer our questions!

I've made a Wathier bed too but there wouldn't be room for your sink or fridge as when in bed mode it's already up to the back of the front seats, and i made it a few inches shorter than Nick.. Trying to figure out how to cover the mattress now

Incredibly helpful. Thank you. You put a support midway along the front panel as you said it tended to bend when you sat on it. Did the rear panel not require one also? My van doesnt have recessed storage underneath and platform height will be an issue. Do you think half inch ply would be ok? Bed with will be about 41" to allow for some side storage as with bed extended i have no room behind front seats for any unit.
@dl7772 ай бұрын
Rear panel did not have much weight on it as we were lying on it and the weight was distributed. 1/2" should work. After the fact I drilled out 4" holes across all of the plywood like Tevia did in his build of his Sienna to reduce weight. With 1/2" you may not be able to cut out as many holes.

Thanks for taking time to reply. One last question .. If i made the backrest longer than 16¾ .say .19½" and made the angled bit of the supporting arm longer.. Do you think the support at the narrow end would be too flimsy? If so. I'll keep the arm exactly the same as yours and just add support directly under the leading edge instead. Thank you for your patience. I have more height to play with at the blunt end.

I'm failing to see why you took the time to make a video of your not knowing where to put the jack, rather than looking up a video made by someone who does... there are specific jacking points on the Escape, in a video above yours in the search results by someone who does know. kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZZ6qs6dph5i6abg.html This person does know where put the jack. Why you would make a video, steering someone to the wrong location, rather than actually learning about it first makes no sense. If you continue these, you should probably put a disclaimer on your video that you don't know what you are doing, so you don't get sued, when a car falls on someone.

My sister had issues with her KitchenAid Range (Architect Series) Model: KESS907SSS04 (Range - Stainless Steel 30" Slide In Electric Range w/ 4 radiant elements Manufacture Date: July 2011). I scratched my head many times trying to figure out how to access the Bake Element. I accessed the back of the Range and was able to locate the two terminals of the bake element, thus determine the Bake Element was bad by checking the resistance of the element (open circuit), but still was not sure how to remove the bake element. After reviewing your video, I could see your double oven was designed same as the model I was working. In seconds, due to your great documentation - I got it! Good job! Thank you for taking the time to share your experience on KZread. BTW, I called KitchenAid (Whirlpool) 800-422-1230 earlier today. I called once and the gal was not only no help, but rude. Unibody cars are all going to this style where the jack points are also the lift points. My wife’s Grand Cherokee WK2 is the same way. One good solution and what I went with was purchasing the 2 ton bottle jacks with built in jack stands from Powerbuilt. The bottle jack operates the stand itself and it has locking detents so you can lift and have a jack stand in the same place. I went with 2 of the 2 ton models because the 3 ton model would have been too tall to get under the pinch weld. I wanna say they’re $65 each or so on Amazon but they worked well for me and I felt safe with them. Hope this helps. Don’t forget the pinch weld rubber adapters they also sell. Nice one! I don't have additional comments on the waterproofing.
How did you get the printed out directions?
From nick's video kzread.info/dash/bejne/d6NttbmLkd26nKg.html The plans are here: kzread.info?event=video_description&redir_token=QUFFLUhqbHNnVUFpRlNFU3cyeUNPeDJubmpneFdxNncwZ3xBQ3Jtc0tsT1RZTnVqR0FkS0FjTEc0OXdyZjh0Y2pWLWVtNTk4Rmw1SV9tYTIxclFzakZ6R2tXNm11bDlTRmJZVjI3bElNaXJoeEJ0WWZ1dkM1UnBKWkg4Z2ZBbFZHRG5OT1I2QTZiSGxQV0tsSE5tbkhkeGFERQ&q=https%3A%2F%2Fdrive.google.com%2Fuc%3Fexport%3Ddownload%26id%3D1dkOCnkykwFKV8yLNu8qtyoTembEvl9EM
Thank you 🙏🏽… great video. I think I can do this🤗
Wondering why you did not use pocket screws instead of T braces?
I did not think about it and just did what Nick did as far as I can remember. Thanks!

This was awesome - a great walkthrough! Thank you for sharing honey! xoxo
OK, due to popular demand here is my first video, it shows the different hold down using a turnbuckle. kzread.info/dash/bejne/noyYutqrhdzffsY.html
Chicago???? I hope you have bullet proof windows.
I wish you would have showed how the couch folded down into a bed. How much was the 500 jackery. I hear they are very expensive. For a woman on fixed income. Is there anyone out there that knows a "good" converter not quite so expensive?? How did you pump the water into your sink? Where did you place your cook stove and how does your bed work (build)?
You can view Nick's video which goes into a lot of detail about how the bed works. I added the link in the description. I purchased Jackery 1000 off of Amazon. I have a video on my channel on how the sink works. We used the cook stove outside mainly. I have another video on how we built the bed. Good luck!
