    Thanks. I just put the manifold back on after a head gasket replacement, and forgot new donuts (oops!). Big exhaust leak. Good to know I can hopefully get them in there without pulling the manifold again.

    So I’m wonder how to get the oil pressure gauge connected. As the previous owner put in an aftermarket oil pressure gauge I would like it in my gauge cluster. I did a cluster swap already all my gauges work properly minus the oil pressure gauge.

    I do the same thing, but when I use the blinkers, my speedometer needle drop, why?

  • @velocity22s
    @velocity22s4 жыл бұрын

    I had the same issue with my previous Toyota so what I did was I removed the cluster and cleaned all the solder connections on the back and it fixed it. Though I've heard that it's a "bad cluster" but I would try cleaning it up a bit.

    Hey tooslow, i have an 89 toyota pickup 4x4 that the speedometer went out about a yr ago and i finally found me a local instrument cluster it is out of an 92 toyota pick up also a 4x4 and im wondering if it is going to work and what modifications i am going to have to make/incounter.?? Please help, im not all that good mechanic wise...thank you very much...

  • @velocity22s
    @velocity22s4 жыл бұрын

    First of all you gotta see if your original cluster had a spedo cable or if it's electronic. To check this out without having to remove it from the dash, look under at the transmission from the passenger side and you'll be able to see a stiff cable that connects to the transmission.

    It does. I was just worried that half of the gauges were not going to work.

    Are your struts good ? Or did you swap them when you installed the eibach ? What do you think about the sport line eibach with 22" viper reps ? You think I'll need to roll my fenders ?

  • @velocity22s
    @velocity22s7 жыл бұрын

    Alex Tovar struts are good. I did not swap anything. only mods I did were roll fenders and notch down the upper ball joint bolt. If you go with sportline you will need to roll fenders with 22's. when you make a full turn left or right...for example u turn..the tires will rub in the inside fenders.

  • @mosthated8190
    @mosthated81907 жыл бұрын

    Tooslow_srt what exactly do you mean notch down the ball joint bolt ? Cause I had mine shaved down a little when I got my 22's

  • @velocity22s
    @velocity22s7 жыл бұрын

    Alex Tovar shaved down? the bolt? bolt that's over the front tires. Upper control arm

  • @mosthated8190
    @mosthated81907 жыл бұрын

    Yeah that bolt thats right above the front tires

  • @velocity22s
    @velocity22s7 жыл бұрын

    Alex Tovar well if you have that one shaved down already then you're good to go. All you will need to do is roll your fenders. Believe me you should get it done, you drive more comfortable with peace in mind knowing your tires are not being chewed up by the fenders. I learned the hard way that's why I ended up rolling them.

  • @velocity22s
    @velocity22s7 жыл бұрын

    jose sotelo I wouldn't go with the 225. they will stick out quite a bit and they will rub when making a tight turns. 215 sit perfect along fender line . I'm currently debating in switching the fronts to 205

    nice! looking to start lowering my 89 dakota this weekend how many inches down did the torsion bar crank take you?

  • @velocity22s
    @velocity22s7 жыл бұрын

    Art Vandelay from factory I brought the bolt 2" down which pretty much was equivalent to the rear which was a 3" drop. I did trim front bump stops which brought it down a little lower (since it was sitting on bumps). I Had to readjust and play with torsion bar until I got it where I wanted it.

    Dude looks great!! That fitment is perfect for a daily! What did you do for the front drop, torsion crank and ball joint flip? Thanks for the shoutout man, that was super cool of you!!

  • @velocity22s
    @velocity22s7 жыл бұрын

    Jon Widmer Yes, torsion crank. I did not do ball joint flip bc I got it right where I wanted it. I just trimmed the bump stops almost about an inch. Truck is really low that it's sitting on the the bump stops. Don't know if that will be a problem? for now I will ride like that and maybe in the future raise it half an inch. Yeah had to give you credit for helping out. my bad couldn't really remember your last name.

  • @GarageBuiltHondas
    @GarageBuiltHondas7 жыл бұрын

    Tooslow_srt You could do the ball joint flip and re-do the torsion bar setup and that will give you some clearance between the bump stop. The ball joint flip alone gives about an inch drop. I did this on my truck and the drop was an extra inch, the spindles lowered or 2", and the extra 1" with the BJ flip.

    @soxsucks 1900 for all? damn thats pretty cheap! well u do have to roll fenders in if ur gonna lower it or else it will rub. but once they get rolled in theres no rubbing at all only on normal rubbing. such as reversing while turning tires. but other than that its pretty smooth riding and no rubbing.

  • @soxsucks
    @soxsucks12 жыл бұрын
