No fire protection. Missed a lot of shots. At least you had some brains to kite. However you missed that York way too many times. Missed alot of shots. Have to b more selective with 30 seconds per shot

Fire protection is a must, I just don't have the points yet...in fact I have no BB captains yet with points for it. Yeah I often just shoot to get chasers to turn and slow down knowing I am unlikely to take them out. My goal is to buy time to give my team time to win their fight and turn round. But I am getting better with my aiming on BB's and agree with taking time which is why I prefer Cruisers. Thanks for the advice.

Yep. 1 fire is a waste unless you are going to die from it. Fire damage can be repaired so unless you absolutely must, hold off repairs till you need it.

Whew great game to watch. Remember I told you I was a new player about a month ago. So don't get angry if my Q sounds stupid, please. My task is to get 1 achievement in an English or German ship. How do you get achievements. Because I've spotted, I've set many ships on fire. up to 3 per game and I've flooded, and I've capped. But No achievement given in about 30 games so far. Last task out of many tasks for something to do with the Hood. Please help. Thanks

Achievements have certain requirements. So for example to get the 'Arsonist' achievement you need to do the following: - Set an enemy ship on fire and destroy her. The damage caused by fire must amount to at least 40% of the destroyed ship's base HP. Can be obtained multiple times per battle. Other are simple like first blood where you just have to sink the first ship. This is a link for the full list: - wiki.wargaming.net/en/Ship:Achievements Knowing which ships are good for which achievements is key. A DD is good for getting first blood as you usually engage quicker than other ships. Rapid fire with long range guns is good for Arsonist if you can get a ship to chase you so America cruisers are good for that. Are you trying for a particular achievement because perhaps I can give specific advise there.

The task requires any achievement. Although it must be done in a UK or German ship. I have the (V) Agincourt Battleship . Captain lv 11 VI Undine submarine Captain lv2, and the VI Nuremberg Captain lv4 cruiser. Im currently just started my first game in ranked. Did well. Managed to spot cap and destroy battleship with tops and main guns in Nuremberg. Died soon after. Ranked 9. Whatever that means. In Bronze

Most of the time 43 feels so different isnt as much because of the ship but more so the commander spec because they guns, while slightly different, are the same ballistics. Most build the 43 for secondaries and not main guns which is a palpable difference.

Yeah I get reported all the time for anything from having a good game to being unable to prevent another player from dying too quickly to it being the weekend. It doesn't really matter. Play to have fun and as long as you are not trying to spoil other peoples time or are unwilling to learn just ignore it.

This was great to watch. I enjoy the talking between you and Redboi. Funny at times. Thanks for the reply. I used p to turn of aa guns like you said and did well. I took 3 out in my DD a got spotted in my last game. I do watch many other youtubers as well. I already watch the guys you mentioned, but thanks anyway. I love watching some of the ones where they don't go to plan, and they go from calm to swearing at the enemy ship for being unpredictable. I'm starting to maneuver more and even push at times. it feels good to not feel useless. I've had a thanks and a good job for my spotting. Proud moments.

Concealment. I never look at it, but now I understand. Listening to you and Redboi was very helpful. Like I said, Im very new to this game. It looks easy watching both of you but it isnt for me at the moment. Staying alive is hard in a dd when you have to go in first. I've just started using matsuki as my first dd outside of level 1 and 11. The matsuki. Trying to spot and not be spotted or stay alive and your teammates like said can make a difference. Ive been in a battleship many times where both my dd and cv have died within 2 mins and im fkd. Now I'm weary of my own teammates. i went back to co op but the bots are usually on a suicide mission and they all drift towards me and all guns are firing on the humans. in random I try to use Islands and stay facing towards my enemy and stay back but i get hammered chased and surrounded. There are many like me that aren't up to grade yet and still learning but experienced players or even a clan can smell a new boy and quickly go after me. However, your KZread is making me understand the mechanics and all sorts of things to do and look out and position. I don't even know how to turn off my AA on the matsuki for better concealment. Im now very good in an Aircraft carrier and am getting good at using it for spotting which makes me feel proud when i get acknowledged for it. Submarine sucks. I use Rahmat for cv and kongo and wuhjam and arhjencourt {sorry about the spelling, probably butchered the names} doing well in those. I feel my journey is getting there. There's a lot to think about and 1 mistake like staying to far back to do any good or going in and dying. looking at map all the time while engaging. Thats actually what I love about this game. 2 clans have asked me to join them I declined them because i thought i might weaken their clan. Bad call because I think the experience of being in a clan may help me and at least i know i can trust them too. Sorry about rambling on. Great game. I prefer too hear you talking and experience your thoughts and I'm really enjoying Redboi's thoughts as well. The thought process between you guys is engaging.

Honestly made my day so thank you for your comments. I am doing this for a bit of fun so knowing that you and others like you might pick up something useful to help you enjoy the game more is priceless. Co-ops are good for aiming practice, especially learning to shoot for citadel hits and I still do them from time to time, especially with new ship lines but the AI is not the smartest and does straight-line a lot. Can I suggest, if you have not already done so, look for Trenlass, Flambass and The Mighty Jingles who I still watch daily to learn how to play better. As for DD's it is a hard class to play because you are expected to do so much. You must cap, spot and kill the enemy while avoiding the CV, subs, , DD's and radar while the BB's with 6 times your health are sitting back complaining that their pant got scratched :) So my advice is let the enemy DD's push into the caps and learn on maps where enemy DD's are likely to do so. Run away without shooting because a dead DD cannot keep spotting. Think about playing a DD like clearing a path of mines so the big guns can feel happy to push up a bit closer to the fight. And lastly, on a standard keyboard layout P turns off your AA :) Thanks so much for taking the time to post and encourage me to keep uploading.

Any ship with SAP is a DD killer to be honest. Get spotted and you are toast unless you can hide quick enough. I have been 1 shot a few times by the Venezia and straight back to port lol.

Was a fun game despite getting to the end of the game and seeing the rest of the team are dead. :) At least it was a win.
People don't get that THIS map is another play style, as you said. Push agressive in a BB here mean a fast ticket to port

This was great to watch. I enjoy the talking between you and Redboi. Funny at times. Thanks for the reply. I used p to turn of aa guns like you said and did well. I took 3 out in my DD a got spotted in my last game. I do watch many other youtubers as well. I already watch the guys you mentioned, but thanks anyway. I love watching some of the ones where they don't go to plan, and they go from calm to swearing at the enemy ship for being unpredictable. I'm starting to maneuver more and even push at times. it feels good to not feel useless. I've had a thanks and a good job for my spotting. Proud moments.
Great to hear and sounds like you are improving all the time which is great. As with most things practice makes you better but a willingness to learn is often overlooked so keep at it and you will have more and more success.

Concealment. I never look at it, but now I understand. Listening to you and Redboi was very helpful. Like I said, Im very new to this game. It looks easy watching both of you but it isnt for me at the moment. Staying alive is hard in a dd when you have to go in first. I've just started using matsuki as my first dd outside of level 1 and 11. The matsuki. Trying to spot and not be spotted or stay alive and your teammates like said can make a difference. Ive been in a battleship many times where both my dd and cv have died within 2 mins and im fkd. Now I'm weary of my own teammates. i went back to co op but the bots are usually on a suicide mission and they all drift towards me and all guns are firing on the humans. in random I try to use Islands and stay facing towards my enemy and stay back but i get hammered chased and surrounded. There are many like me that aren't up to grade yet and still learning but experienced players or even a clan can smell a new boy and quickly go after me. However, your KZread is making me understand the mechanics and all sorts of things to do and look out and position. I don't even know how to turn off my AA on the matsuki for better concealment. Im now very good in an Aircraft carrier and am getting good at using it for spotting which makes me feel proud when i get acknowledged for it. Submarine sucks. I use Rahmat for cv and kongo and wuhjam and arhjencourt {sorry about the spelling, probably butchered the names} doing well in those. I feel my journey is getting there. There's a lot to think about and 1 mistake like staying to far back to do any good or going in and dying. looking at map all the time while engaging. Thats actually what I love about this game. 2 clans have asked me to join them I declined them because i thought i might weaken their clan. Bad call because I think the experience of being in a clan may help me and at least i know i can trust them too. Sorry about rambling on. Great game. I prefer too hear you talking and experience your thoughts and I'm really enjoying Redboi's thoughts as well. The thought process between you guys is engaging.
Honestly made my day so thank you for your comments. I am doing this for a bit of fun so knowing that you and others like you might pick up something useful to help you enjoy the game more is priceless. Co-ops are good for aiming practice, especially learning to shoot for citadel hits and I still do them from time to time, especially with new ship lines but the AI is not the smartest and does straight-line a lot. Can I suggest, if you have not already done so, look for Trenlass, Flambass and The Mighty Jingles who I still watch daily to learn how to play better. As for DD's it is a hard class to play because you are expected to do so much. You must cap, spot and kill the enemy while avoiding the CV, subs, , DD's and radar while the BB's with 6 times your health are sitting back complaining that their pant got scratched :) So my advice is let the enemy DD's push into the caps and learn on maps where enemy DD's are likely to do so. Run away without shooting because a dead DD cannot keep spotting. Think about playing a DD like clearing a path of mines so the big guns can feel happy to push up a bit closer to the fight. And lastly, on a standard keyboard layout P turns off your AA :) Thanks so much for taking the time to post and encourage me to keep uploading.

Close game. Score was a bit weird, but great to watch that tactics used by both sides.
It was one of those games that never seemed to be going that well till you look up and see you are about to win. I think you can hear the surprise in my voice when Redboi gets his Kraken.

Yeah whatever he did to get that score was good. Not sure how it really works as he didn't get any achievements but I did give a compliment after the game ended if I remember right.
I've just started playing random games. I've been in co op battles for a while. Im enjoying it though. This helps.
This is great! People rush into randoms far too early so the fact you are using co-op to learn is already a step up. It is a great way to learn about landing citadels and positioning and timing of long shots. Thanks for watching :)

This is a nasty DD to play against... Not a good design by WG... And little skill factor...
Any ship with SAP is a DD killer to be honest. Get spotted and you are toast unless you can hide quick enough. I have been 1 shot a few times by the Venezia and straight back to port lol.

Yeah. I only picked up what the DD was doing when I re-watched the recording to add my observations. It was even worse considering how close the game was, think it actually made the difference thinking about it :(

Hard place to be in. I've been in this position many times. I think we all have. But great try, you can only do so much against impossible odds. It's also good to see a live lost hearing the emotions. Seen so many winning games that this mixes it up a bit and the main point is I've learnt something. Always learning
