The song of the Western Meadowlark is one of the most beautiful signs that spring has arrived.🎶🤗

My grandparents lived next to a slough and there was always this sound coming from there. I can picture this bird on a fence post and making this beautiful sound while my grandma and I were picking flowers in her flowerbed. Always brings me happy memories. Thank you 🥹❤️

As a young boy growing up in Kern County Cal. I can still remember the very last time hearing this wonderful bird call on a fence. They all disappeared due to housing construction. Thats was 60 years ago and I have not heard this bird since. So sad...

They are still a common bird out here, fortunately, at least in certain areas like the bear river bird refuge and Antelope Island.

I take pictures with a camera, not a phone. I got a picture on my camera during the eclipse of a bird in silhouette crossing the corona, and I want to identify it. My phone is a cheap piece of junk. I use it as a phone, not a computer. Is there something online that will help me identify a bird in silhouette from a photo? It's very distinctive in appearance.

I wish youtube would let images be posted here so I could try and help identify it. Is the image posted anywhere online I could take a look and see if I could identify it?
