    My wild Turkey breasts baked in the oven for an hour and 1/2! Very good flavored. Added spices with oil! Next time though I’m slow cooking it with broth and mushrooms. Thanks for the help!

    Thank you so much! On our wild turkey, we just took off the breast and the legs and thighs. One was a big Tom so had brined the breast and then followed the rest of your directions. I think it’ll turn out very yummy. . Thank you. I froze the Tom turkey and legs in with the smaller hen breast. So I will get back to you as to how the breasts came out.

    Why not use the food processor to cut the butter and flour together?

    In a smaller batch that works well, but this method is easier for me when dealing with this large recipe.

    My well-worn "Joy of Cooking" book has a little joke in it that defines "eternity" as "a ham and two people". This video will help my husband and me to enjoy that eternity! :)

    Gary, I am so sorry for your loss. My mom is my entire world and she is my best friend. Every day I fear the morning I will wake up and she will no longer be here. I am so glad you were able to find a recipe that brings her close to your heart again. I am thinking of you ❤

    What does the crust look like when it is done & is it Flaky? Crust looks thin ? Thank U for your video I like nee ideas How long does the dough last in the freezer & still be good ?

  • @redshirt1995
    @redshirt1995 Жыл бұрын

    Yes, it is flaky and just the right thickness. The freezing helps with the flakiness. I usually use the crust in the freezer within a year. I don't know beyond that.

    Great ideas! I also like your straightforward explanations. One other idea we always do is a bowtie pasta with the leftover cubed ham & peas. I add a little milk after the pasta’s drained but still warm & some kind of cheese- cream cheese is my kids’ favorite. Yummy Creamy pasta dish. I also freeze some in quart ziplock bags for later so we don’t get sick of ham. It’s nice to pull out & add to a soup (baked potato or bean), or pasta dish later on a busy night.
