    Is this man a lecturer in ANCC? How very disappointing. This is more like a Leftist lecture with some references to God, without reference to the hypocrisy of many of the COP attendees using Private Jets. What does the Bible say about "Climate Change?" Is there a biblical basis for the theory of Anthropogenic changes to the climate? Where is the evidence for Anthropogenic changes in climate? Isn't the Climate Change Alarmism really about "saving the planet," or is it in reality an environmental movement which is more political than scientific, ie Marxist in nature? There are two sides to every argument, but it's quite clear that the Alarmist side is the one which is not allowed to be questioned and is being pushed by most of the MSM, a majority of Far Left, anti Christian and atheistic politicians and pseudo scientists. Many people including myself reject the notion that there is a "Climate Crisis" based on the historical evidence over thousands of years that God controls the world He created, reinforced by many of His promises in His Word, as opposed to the current Climate Alarmism which is based mostly on the data from the past 160 years. Quite honestly, I feel sad that my beloved ANCC is even discussing this, and taking sides in what is a very divisive issue. Instead, why not discuss the activities of Klaus Schwab and the WEF and their evil plans for the world through their so called Great Reset, and whether it is really just another step towards the evil One World Government under the AntiChrist? Does this Bible verse not contradict most of the "Climate Change" narrative? Genesis 8:22 "While the Earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night SHALL NOT CEASE."

    Thank you for your comment. Dr Ben Richards is not a lecturer at All Nations Christian College, but he is a respected scientist and Christian voice on the issue of climate change. It is important that as Christians we examine both the science behind climate change, and what the Bible says which is relevant to this issue. The danger is when we close our eyes to either one of these. While climate change may not be mentioned specifically in the Bible (as it is a contemporary issue not a historical one from biblical times), the Bible has plenty to say about our responsibility to care for creation which is relevant to this issue.

    It's not as serious an issue as everyone is making it out to be, let alone for the Christian. People are slipping into hell as I type. Preventing that by preaching the gospel should be our first priority.

  • @allnationsuk
    @allnationsuk2 жыл бұрын

    Hi @skyclasp! Thanks for sharing your thoughts 😊Preaching the gospel is paramount, of course. I think one of the points that Dr Richards makes is that we needn't necessarily think of this in terms of either/or, since we're in danger of creating a false dichotomy. Creation care is very much part of our worship and response to a God who poured out Himself out in all sorts of ways, including the marvel of creation. One of the joys of being a Christian is being free to participate in God's redemptive, restorative mission. Isn't that amazing? That God would ask us to look after His creation? And at times, we see in biblical narrative a sense of urgency, particularly when it comes to matters of poverty and oppression. As Dr Richards points out in the video, the climate crisis is affecting the world's poorest people, so this is a justice issue. Appreciate your thoughts. Bless you!

    Also, this is a great opportunity for the church to engage with non-believers in this issue. More on that here: www.allnations.ac.uk/blog/peacemaker-politics-climate-change
