  Here's the thing that $50 flyrod combo for me might be the most expensive setup I can afford. Now someone else might be able to afford $1000 setup that's the best that they can afford...but is that $1000 setup really better? Will it catch me more fish? I highly doubt it. I've proven it over the last couple months...I think you're going to raise your skill level to match the quality of your equipment.

  That is not a bad deal at all. Considering fish were caught even better yet. Been looking into fly fishing.... Man can it get pricey. Thinking my best bet is to get a inexpensive kit like this before really investing money into it. Thanks for sharing.

  A two-fer is always fun! I troll a tandem bugger rig from my kayak.- usually when I'm moving from one spot on the lake to another or if I want to take a break from casting for a while.

  Thank you for both! It is a plastic case for the daily tag that must be purchased each day at the trout park I was fishing at. Trout parks in Missouri (there are 4 of them) cost $4 per day to fish there and it is a heck of a good bargain.

  It was a ton of fun and that was a day unlike any other day I have ever had. Yes, mid summer is great to try and catch channel cats on a fly. While you can’t really target them, you can pick them up while trying to catch bluegill and crappie. I just fish a 1/80 ounce jig under a strike indicator. I usually catch one every two or three trips out in June through August here in Missouri. I actually landed a small flathead on a fly a couple of years ago. Now I just need a blue cat to collect the whole set!

Since I've started my mind was already made up to just use floro because all that tipet stuff is just kinda overwhelming geeesh🤦🏾.   If your kinda new, don’t worry about doing like everyone else. You’re enjoying it and catching fish so have fun and just relax and have fun and enjoy it. . It’s good therapy for Dailey stress. Get rid of the crazy guy in your boat or have him behave and be quiet and enjoy the peace of being out there. Just have fun and catch some dinner.

  @@Skeeyeeeeee fly fishing is hard lol. Haven't landed a trout yet but only got out a handful of times last year and Friday was my first time out this season. Almost had a brown on Friday but didn't get a good hook set on it and it got off. Heading out soon to give it another go.
