Since 2919, I have been watching this live episode of Gregory. What I do not understand is that I kept coming back to rewatch it. "1960, what" will always get me nodding my head and tap my feet. When I am all alone, I even clap and sing along. I love this!

The alto saxophonist's name playing the solo in Work Song is Paul, not Peter, van der Feen.

Now I am sure: on a planet with seven billion people going about their business, this must have been the most profound and beautiful happening at that very moment in 2012! How else can it be? Think about it, this is cosmic!!

Bravo everyone Especially the upright bassist Gregory punishes his focus on those beautiful taxing bass lines And you nailed this with such ferocity and accuracy This is a live recording that will only gain luster and you are very important to it

Gregory - Bravo. You are a legend. Your delivery is so great, no gimmicks just pure talent and a voice from heaven. Orchest. Metropole -what a magnificent orchestra. The trumpet, sax and trombone solos blew me away and the guitarist -wow!!!!!. This orchestra specialise in popular music. Another one to see is Trijntje Oosterhuis with the orchestra doing a programme of Burt Bacharrach songs. Equally wonderful by a woman who sings Bacharrach better than anyone ever did or will ever do.....

In my life I have had to work with the Costers, Platers, Etta James and the Drifters. It was a great ride but I must confess, when i listen to this consort, "I can't feel the ground under my feet" He lifts me up.

Just closed out The Day of Atonement/Yom Kippur and somehow found myself here and the most amazing thing is I can't believe after over 40 years as a jazz lover I have never heard of Gregory Porter! God is amazing! GP voice carries one before the gods and the orchestra provides the wings to lift you to the heavens. PHE-NOM-E-NAL!
