Amazing the quality of the ads and the practical special effects used. Sometimes even great stop animation.

Video games suck these days, and I think a pretty fair amount of their suckage are the commercials

Sometimes I wish I could've had the experience of hooking up my first ever game system. By the time I was born, my 3 older siblings already had a Gameboy, N64, and a PS2. My brother got a GameCube before I was even a year old too!

Nintendo was a game changer. We was so use to Atari graphics when 8-bit was presented it challenged the balance of power with the arcades.

Whenever I'd run up in people's houses back when I was a kid I'd run right past jewelry & high-end electronics everytime & sniff me out whatever gaming console & games the kids had. I'm sure their grades were trash anyways. & Don't get me wrong I always went back for the jewelry & other retro Japanese technology--just prioritized gaming stuff. I changed up the game as I've grown Tho...nowadays I'm just stealing hearts

I remember staying the night at my friend's house playing super mario bros 3 and I beat the game he got mad and told me to go home it was late at night I walked home his mom called me really upset and apologized and told me to come back to stay the night I ended up walking back to my friend's house and she told me that I could play all the games I wanted for as long as I could my friend was sent to his room I felt so bad so when his mom went to bed I went back to his room and we ended up playing nintendo together the rest of the night ahhh those were the 80s! The best times of my life!

Part of what made the nes games so great was the actual marketing, the box art the booklet etc, the game might have been ok but it was the art and the commercials which made you imagine what the game would be like and pressed you to go out and purchase as well. Kinda like the atari where the box art was awesome and the games were just blocks moving around in most cases but it was the art that made you imagine you were driving that tank or shooting those alien ships etc,. Nowadays games have lame art that generates no imagination but the games sometimes surpass what your imagination could conceive.
