Great video! Did you change the tubing from the back of the solenoid valve that goes to the ice maker? Do you recommend changing that when changing the valve and ice maker? If so, how do run the tubing? Tx!
I am having trouble putting the metal covers after replacing the evaporator fan on a 561. After I took it apart - I had to wait a week for the fan to come and I can't remember how to put those 2 metal covers on - can you PLEASE tell me how to do it? thanks much!
I have the exact model as yours. Thank you so much for sharing how you did it.
Love you bro
Where can I buy parts to replace solenoid valve?
Where can I buy the replacement water valve & solenoid?
is there a solution for the insulation? Subzero says it goes bad and there's no way to replace it. Surely there's a way to drill a hole and pump in closed cell or similar, no?
When I went to the certified parts website you list I discover it only ships to a handful of states neighboring Massachusetts. Then when I go to the alternative website it says to go to for parts (the subzero wolf "locator" site), nothing happens when searching for my zip code. I'll try ordering something from ebay or amazon.
Thanks so much. This just saved me a ton of time.
Thank you! My freezer functioning fine but woke up to the fridge side at 58'. Which feels hot compared to 38'. I called Subzero they suggested turning off breaker 30 seconds then back on so I did. Then I also took canned air and blew off condenser. We clean our condenser 2 times a year. It had a little dust on it but really didn't seem like much to cause an issue. But after an hour of the 2 things I did the temp is going back down. I saved your video though for future reference.
Thank you very much
how often should this be done? mine is brand new
I own a 550. I seem to recall annual cleaning was recommended.
Pretty sure I bent ALL the fins on my condenser. I can't see/get my arms in there to straighten. I'm literally trying to sell my house in a month and dont want to spend money to fix this! Any chance I can remove it fix in place with a trick? Thanks!
I completely ruined the fins by NOT following directions. I think it's causing the condenser to become excessively warm. Is it possible to take it out and straighten them?
I did it but my truck one side is higher the other
This was super clear and helpful - I am not handy at all but I did it thanks to your excellent instructions thank you!
Dude says don't run a test on an ice maker 30, 20 or 10 years old... Well, a Couple of questions??? A: is it 30, 20, 10 or what? If it's only safe to test a new ice maker, that's awfully pathetic. I would expect a new one to work without testing!(?)!!! Never mind my other questions, this is bad enough. Good Luck with your Fridge! John
Ty bro!
Hi John, I have BI 36 O/U unit and the control panel does not display anything. Its erratic, sometimes the lights come on but nothing showing in the control panel. Other times it just dark and also turns off the lights to the interior of the fridge. I've seen people replace the control board but find it hard to believe that such a minor problem requires such an expensive fix. Your thoughts? thank you
can you instead bypass that termination switch at 5:30 to test it?
Worked perfectly, thanks!!
Can the amount of water fill be adjusted?
My drain doesn’t seem to be plugged, but I have some condensation droplets. Is that normal?
I have a question for you our sub zero refrigerator is about 5 years old and our power was out for yesterday and now since over night it has been gurgling and the door locks until it stops gurgling then it releases this only a refrigerator not a combo refrigerator and freezer please help
Do you know if it's possible to convert a Sub Zero all freezer (BI-36F) to a refrigerator?
Great job 👏
How do I remove the grate over the condenser to clean this area? (Model IT-36CI-RH/Serial # 5772895)
nice job !!!!!
Oxygen and propane?
Thank you! Is it very interesting to see what you're soldering? Burner and welding station
What's the cost to rebuild SUBZERO. I have 690 could it be rebuild at the video it looked same as mine 600 series
Wish you were in California
I’d love to see how you got that latch out of the door. There’s only a couple inches of space between the body of the vehicle and the door.
thank you! Worked exactly as you described
Thanks for the video. After seeing where the drain hole is, I was able to use a cable tie to unclog the blockage WITHOUT having to remove a single screw. The cable tie will fit in between the back panel and the bottom of the fridge.
This is amazing!! I’ve been trying to figure out why my truck road so bad!!
My subzero keeps tripping my circuit breaker. Any idea why ?
Oh my gosh, thank you. If you are performing this task by yourself, put a something hard like a rock in a thick plastic bag (so won’t scratch paint job) so that the door handle is ///completely/// extended out. Cut the messed up plastic off the U hinge that’s gunking up the latch and take a flat head screwdriver and pop it back into place. Blaster might help, lol. If you do be sure to wear gloves and put something down, so it doesn’t gotta get into the ground.
Or WD40. Thank you so much again
Again, to reiterate, the latch won’t move until the handle is all the way out. Like 100% not 99% trust me I know from trying lol good luck. I’m sure it’s going to work out perfectly for you too!
I have a 695 with the ice and water in the door. How do I take the wood off that one? I need to replace the water damaged wood panels.
Hard to believe you have to teach people how to change a light bulb. But I guess it's true.
What about if the lights are not coming on even after you change them? However, the upper lights are working fine.
hey question, while I wait for my kitchen renovation to start do you know if I can use my subzero freestanding/not mounted in? it is the 36' B136UIDOLH model
What about front end?
And yes, looking at the other comments - are LEDs available for these older models? Ours is probably around 2000. And for that matter, the narrow trim piece along the top of the freezer drawer is no longer an available part, but do you ever have fridges you can't repair and would sell me the part? Ours is completely dented. Many thanks!!!
This is EXACTLY what I needed! Never knew that the whole draw assembly including panel could be lifted out - now I can also clean the bottom while I'm getting the bulb base out with needle nose pliers! Thank you - excellent video.
Phenomenal, efficient. Wish everyone was this concise. Thank you.
Hello, love your videos. I wish you were located in CA! I have a SubZero 736TC and the condenser fan doesn't seem to start. Freezer is cold, Refrigerator got hot as did the front tank. I hear a click ever once in a while, which I assume is the relay trying to turn it on. I get 11.5 vt at the fan connector, but not sure if that's enough voltage or if it's ac or dc, since I haven't pulled it yet and my voltmeter is on 'auto'. The error codes seem to be fine. Is there any test I can do to confirm it's the fan and not a thermistor or relay? Much appreciated! -J

I have been having trouble with my ice maker for a long time. I actually think it might be the condenser unit BUT I am trying the door seal next. I was having a myriad of problems. It would make if, then it wouldn’t. Then I would end up with a big block of ice in my ice cube tray as if I put in two inches of water there. I am not sure if everything melted and then froze or if my ice maker did not eject the ice and water overflowed with each cycle. I replace the ice maker and the water pump as it seemed to have failed also. Now the only way it seems to work (new ice maker) is if I jump it every time. And even at that, the jumping does not always seem to want to work. so, I am going to check the level of the ice maker and put in a new door seal in the next few days. Sometimes when I reach up there is still water in the tray that has not frozen so I am wondering if the lower part of my freezer freezes but the upper does not. It is the subzero 550 and many years old. The freezer setting is at 4. Any thoughts? I hate to spend another 150 CAD on another ice maker. Do people ever change out the compressor unit (I think that is what it is called) or do we simply replace the entire unit. Thanks in advance.
