    Everytime I let off the throttle I would hear a loud clack around the clutch case. Do you have it too before the change of new clutch kit? Did you also changed the clutch housing too?

    That's your servo motor ur messing with that doesn't really have to do with anything cooling system related. Just buy a servo buddy and remove the whole servo motor (cuts weight) and while ur at it u can also remove your pair valve system and put block off plates in it

    I know this is an old vid. But nevertheless I wouldn't be worrying about anything else but that "coins-in-a-purse" sound which tells me you'r running a stock cct? For the future internet people: Make sure you replace your stock cam chain tensioner with a manual one. Those stock ones are known to fail at about 30 000km and cause a major engine damage to valves and pistons!

    I have recurring plug fouling that i now believe to be due to worn valve guides. Compression was fine as were valve clearances. Fresh plugs in, the bike runs great but now only does about 150 miles before the same plug fouls with what seems to be oil... Looks like i need to do this but I have no garage... good video.

    .: Freddy G' :. Pressure plates are so worn-out that is not disengaging the clutch from the engine after is in gear

  • @Arkadix11
    @Arkadix116 жыл бұрын

    I'm not sure I understand. As far as I know clutch is meant to connect engine with transmission via friction, so if clutch plates are worn out, then no (or very little) momentum is transferred to the wheel. So when you DO NOT hold the clutch lever the clutch is engaged, but worn out plates can't transfer momentum, so the wheel doesn't move. But why is the wheel moving with clutch lever being held? Clutch plates should be then separated anyway, so what is happening here?

  • @xmrrush8355
    @xmrrush83556 жыл бұрын

    Arkadiusz I believe what Moto was trying to say is the steel plates are warped, when this happens you will encounter clutch drag, this will cause a creep when stopped in gear also hard first gear engagement and difficulty shifting into neutral, all of this can also be caused by poor adjustment of the clutch and cable and or the wrong oil

    I think it has something to do with the switch that is operating the fan? Did you remove the spark plugs? If you are running stock ECU than mabe the spark plugs are not happy with the rich setting and they just misfire sometimes?

    All working as it should now, I decided to replace the gear shaft arm and spring and it feels like new again, positive and precise and no dodgy slipping gears. Hope that helps.I also replaced the whole clutch with an oem kit. Though the old was like new i feel the springs could of helped.

    Yes Dave, I feel only new springs plus re-tuning the pressure plate and clutch cable, verifying if the connections are right, would've solved the problem. Warped/worn out clutch internals are big problems, and usually when its the case, the bike becomes highly problematic to ride in general, one can feel it.
