LOVE the Herringbone Pattern ❤
I want to do a 3 thread super stretch stitch (2 needle threads and just the lower looper). Is this possible on a Babylock?
Yay! I don’t know why this didn’t show up when I’ve searched in the past, but I’m so grateful it showed up now! Doug is great! And so are my Baby Lock machines!
Hello! Around minute 1:45 after needle 7 you move the machine over to unlock the other needles and then you keep going with needle 4. So how do you get to needles 5 and 6? I'm working with a babylock valiant if it helps. Thanks!
Thanks for these helpful tips.
This feature looks awesome!
What fabric do you hoop for this tension test?
It’s best to test with the fabric and stabilizer you’ll be using for the project. :)
So I've got this machine and I can't figure out the automatic threader. She showed it -- with her hand in front of it obscuring the view. ARGH! Anyone have a clue how this threader works???

What are all the “holes” on needle plate for?
These holes accommodate different stitches and needle positions so the needle won't hit the plate and break. :) They also are used to connect with the bobbin thread while sewing.
@@babylocksewingI still don’t understand it; but thanks for your reply, I appreciate it.
After watching many videos I ordered one for my granddaughter, I think she will love it 😊!
this is a great machine for sewists of all ages and is very beginner friendly. We hope she loves it.
Love you Eleanor
Will it come with paper manuals?
All details about this machine will be coming at a later date!
Your video is too bright
Thanks for the feedback!
@@babylocksewing Thanks, an appropriate response, but please tell the writer and audience something more specific about their complaint. Another contributor was thrilled: "Man the colour grading in this video is so great. Everything looks perfect soft and balanced. Fantastic work."
What do you do when it keeps saying "A malfunction occurred. Turn machine off, then on again.".... I've turned it off/on, rethreaded it, unplugged it, removed foot & needle.... NOTHING is working. I am so frustrated. I'll never get Baby Lock again!
We are so sorry to hear this frustrating malfunction notice is happening. Please reach out to our consumer support hotline: 1-800-313-4110 or email at [email protected]. They will likely be able to work through it with you or give you next steps.
8 Years old and this never gets old! One of the best!!!
Will this help with inconsistency in picking up the bobbin thread or would that be a timing issue? I’m having this is a problem I have with fluffier/thicker fabric. So do I simply lesson the tension to help with that inconsistency?
There are a few things that could be happening with a fluffy or thick fabric. Please reach out to our consumer support hotline for advice: 1-800-313-4110 or email at [email protected].
I love this walking foot I have 2 of them one for my sewing room upstairs and the other downstairs!
Thank you so much! My serger has been acting up for months, and it turns out the right-hand, upper needle was a millimeter too low in its base. It wouldn’t catch stitches at all, and kept snapping. I changed tension and rethreaded my machine a hundred times, and it turns out it was just the needle not fully in place. Thanks so much for your help!
Thank you!!!
The machine is so quiet. Beautiful. My Allegro is quiet too, I love it.
Interesting!
Ok. I have an imagine, loose loopers with differential set to N, what now?

@@babylocksewing they weren’t any help either. I’m going to take it be serviced.
@@lizabethmccool2990 sorry to hear that did not solve the problem- hopefully the retailer will be able to help.
Great info! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks Doug!
??? And what are the specs??? Whats the embroidery area? Space right of needle? Embroidery only or is it a combo??? Sorry but i dont know anyone willing to drop money on something without knowing half of whats going on.
All these questions and more will be answered. :) These are just our first initial teaser videos before we release all specs.
Nice tutorial. Great teacher😍
It’s probably a wider built in projector!! The neck of the machine will not be any higher the length will still be the same
You misjudge women, OriginalQuiltwench, because for BabyLock lovers, who understand their dedication to standards, and have loved their machines, they are more than happy to get in line and pay the $500, knowing they are gonna get a good price on the new release. It’s their hobby, their love, their therapy🥰🥰🥰🥰
My hobby, my therapy, my muse.
Unless it’s better than the Solaris or the luminaire why would I or anyone that sews or quilts would put down a deposit!!! Show me the goods first
We hope you'll find it's even better than our current lineup. This is just the first teaser- we will share all info in time. :)
Very helpful information, as always!
Nice Tutorial! 😊
If no cutting is actually needed, why not just suppress the knife. It is a standard feature on my Imagine. I prefer coverstitching to twin needle. The latter requires some testing to avoid tunneling. Dteam a Seam is also handy.
Thank you so much….❤ I had a terrible thread tangle due to incorrectly threading my serger and thought I would have to take it in to be serviced! You showed me how to take off the foot, get at everything and clean it up. The L shaped snip ahead of the knife another “aha” moment too.
This is a ripoff of the Bernina marketing ploy. Bernina is asking for a $1000 deposit on an unknown $23k machine. The economy is tight. These companies are tone deaf.
Thanks 🎉🎉
❤
I think they underestimate their market if they think we (mostly women) will drop $500 on an unknown commodity, just because they make a cool video.
Much more information is on the way, this is just the first teaser. :)
It’s deal compared to the $1000 deposit that Bernina is getting for their new machine. I’m actually tempted!
Thanks for posting, I just purchased a gathering foot for my serger/ overlocker, I am amazed at the variety of different sewing projects which can be completed brilliantly well with a serger.
How do you fix threader if it isn’t working
It would sure be nice if you could actually show how to use this feature.
😅 I forgot how to go to normal stitching after using my rolled hem
I cannot tell you what a blessing this video was for me. Both machines with a busted threader, and the nearest retailer 2 counties away and me unable to drive! I’ve spent the past month racking my brain, stressing myself to ulcer, how *how* am I going to get servicing, how?! Well, I still have that problem, but at least maybe I can solve the initial issue. That “Love of Sewing” 4-year membership is turning out not so worthwhile tho. Sigh. I love Baby Lock. Why can’t I find anybody within sane distance to maintain it?
we are SEW glad this could help you! May we ask what isn't satisfying about the LOSM? Is it the retailer being far away? How do you like the free video content? We wish we had more retailers in every location to help. If you are still having trouble, we highly recommend those included sewing classes, or you can reach out to our consumer support hotline: 1-800-313-4110 or email at [email protected].
Yeah, I've looked all over online. Have 4.61 installed. Have KIT 3 installed. There's nothing on page 2 about the foot pedals...at all. I actually wound up tuning on the machine a few times before the foot pedals showed up on page 3, not 2. And there was no instruction about hooking up the pedals, but they weren't hard to figure out. I am a retired tool & die maker.
We're SEW sorry that this is causing so much trouble. If you are still stumped, Please reach out to our consumer support hotline: 1-800-313-4110 or email at [email protected].
No, as you see, I was able to figure it out myself, but it wasn’t at all where you said it would be in the menu and the instructions for putting the pedals together are completely missing, but again, for me it was easy; maybe not for everyone. Thanks.
@@lauriedault5094 thanks for your feedback, we will consider it for the future.
If I am going to put a deposit down I would like to know what the machine will do
And how much it will cost
@@lindacyprus1255 The Babylock Destiny was around $15,000 and the Solaris was about $20,000. So...
Thanks 😅
Not enough info........
Don't worry, much more to come soon!
Okay, when you tell me what the machine does, I might be interested. I’m not putting a deposit down blindly.
@@DBlake864 we understand! It's just the very first teaser video- you'll have more details soon. :)
Yes, Doug I have a baby lock CJ 18 Quilting machine. I have no way to tighten down the hand wheel. Do you have any suggestions?
You should be able to tighten the Handwheel, while holding it tight, the turn the Allen screw in the center clockwise
What if you want to use a larger cord size? Will it still work? Will it still work as well ? Do you have to do anything differently?
Why do you suggest doing a rolled hem first and then you use a raw edge? When you gathered it it just cut the edge off. Wouldn’t it just cut the rolled hem off too? I just don’t understand why you said that at the beginning.
