I don't pause the song.

This channel is devoted to discovering new music! I love all genres and but this channel will be mainly focused on any GOOD music. I am a drummer (not very good) and also love drum cam vids! I try to have a relaxed setting with little graphics or effects or cuts. You get to see a real reaction! With no cuts or edits! I also give commentary immediately after listening to the song without coming back later. You get my fresh thoughts and feelings on the track!

If you are interested in featuring your band on the channel, please email [email protected]

HA!!,,,,,haven't heard this in decades!. My mom had both these on 8track. The second song I played all the time, for an obvious reason. As an 8yr old FU was the funniest thing in the world!

I think after Moonie passed away & The Who continued on with Kenny Jones on drums and the remaining members of Led Zeppelin saw how that went for them and when Bonzo passed they knew the band was done . I saw The Who 3 times since Keith died and it was fine but I think Zeppelin did the right thing . Maybe The Who should have done the same . They could have done stuff together but it would never be The Who again .

As many have already stated, Baby Blue was used in the final scene of Breaking Bad!! ABSOLUTELY PERFECT choice for that moment!!! I've listened to this song since it was first released, which was long before Breaking Bad, but now that I've watched the series I cannot hear that song without thinking of the last scene 😢

Other great Byrds hits are their first one, Mr. Tambourine Man (written by Bob Dylan) and Eight Miles High, which was a different, more psychedelic sound for them. The individuals in the group had long successful careers. You know David Crosby of course. Roger McGuinn is mentioned in the Mamas and Papas' Creeque Alley.

The Mamas and Papas had an incredible sound that put them "at the top" for about three years in the mid to late '60's. This was their first big hit and was followed by about 8-10 more. Creeque Alley tells much of their backstory and calls out other hitmakers. Their Greatest Hits album is great.

Another mountain to climb. From Wiki: A Nantucket sleighride is the dragging of a whaleboat by a harpooned whale while whaling. It is an archaic term from the early days of open-boat whaling, when the animals were harpooned from small open boats. Once harpooned, the whale, in pain from its wound, attempts to flee, but the rope attached to the harpoon drags the whalers' boat along with it. The term refers to Nantucket, Massachusetts, the center of the American whaling industry; as well as the speed associated with riding in a horse-drawn sleigh

Bill Withers has an awesome catalogue, but the first two albums are his most transcendent. He lost his passion for the music industry in the 80s thanks to all sorts of bureaucratic BS and the last album of his came in 1985 (and it was his first in 5 years at the time). He barely even performed live after that, spending much of his final few decades of life in relative obscurity despite his incredible talent. He also didn't debut until he was near 30, which was unconventional for recording artists in those days when youth ruled the day. Made it after years of trying to break through while first in the Navy and then as a mechanical engineer. A truly remarkable man in a crazy industry.

"It features the two most talented guitarists ever to come from Hull - Mick Ronson on lead and the very recently departed Michael Chapman on acoustic - plus the great Herbie Flowers on bass. Chapman, who shared a producer (Gus Dudgeon) with Elton, later said of the session: “I went down to do some recording with Elton and I took Mick Ronson with me as well and we recorded the first version of Madman Across the Water. “Elton took it to the record company, to Dick James, who went nuts and said, ‘Go and do it again, it sounds like you singing with his fucking band!’ Because me and Mick kind of took over.” - from a website called "Eats, Drinks, and Leaves"

There is an isolated bass track video to the same concert that you should watch. You will mess your pants, this is probably one of the best bass lines you will ever hear but unfortunately in the full song it is drowned out with the drums and the guitar.

So many great songs by Squeeze....My personal faves are listed below: "Cool for Cats" Released in 1979 from their album of the same name, and featuring a rare lead vocal performance from cockney-accented Squeeze founding member Chris Difford. The only Squeeze singles to be sung by lyricist/rhythm guitarist Difford are this and 1989's "Love Circles." Glenn Tilbrook, who writes the music for Squeeze, sings lead on most of their songs, although Paul Carrack sung lead on "Tempted." "Up The Junction" Also released in 1979 from their album Cool for Cats. This is an unusual song in that it has no chorus, and the title appears only in the last line. Interestingly, the video for this song was shot at John Lennon's old house, where they had just shot the "Cool For Cats" video. The group realized they had the place booked for two more hours, so they did two takes of this song, and knocked out two videos in one day. Btw, "up the junction" is a British phrase meaning "you're screwed." "Another Nail In My Heart" Released in 1980 from their album "Argybargy." Notable for Glen Tilbrook's guitar solo right after the first verse, the song features marimba in its opening at the suggestion of bassist John Bentley. "Labelled With Love" A poignant and bittersweet ballad released in 1981 from Squeeze's fourth album, "East Side Story." Chris Difford got the idea for this song after looking at a photograph of an old lady sitting in a bar in Paris in 1936. According to Difford: "'Labeled With Love' was an adult lyric in a way that the older generation could latch on to and understand." "Black Coffee In Bed" Released in 1982 from Squeeze's fifth album, "Sweets from a Stranger." According to Chris Difford: "This lyric was inspired by my picking up my notebook one day and seeing a coffee stain on it, which inspired the first line. It was a very vivid image for me and inspired this song of loss and regret." "Hourglass" Released in 1987 from Squeeze's seventh album, "Babylon and On." This was Squeeze's biggest US hit. Unlike Squeeze's UK hits like "Cool For Cats" and "Up The Junction," there is nothing distinctly British about the lyrics, which may explain the song's US appeal. The song is known for the distinctive rapid delivery in the chorus ("Take it to the bridge, throw it overboard, see if it can swim..."). According to Glen Tilbrook, he created some intentional chaos on this song: "On 'Hourglass,' I got a thumping drum machine. So I thought it would be fun to feed a lot of chords into the drum machine and play it without the knowledge of what they were. The freedom of the knowledge of what they may do is actually very liberating. I think writing is always about tricking yourself into doing something different, and that's just one way you can trick yourself."

I’m sure someone else has chimed in, but Bernie Worrell is a legendary figure that is one of the unsung innovators of American music in the second half of the 20th Century. As instrumental to the parliament/funkadelic sound as anyone else in the collective. Played with the Talking Heads during the Stop Making Sense era. Played in Bill Laswell’s Praxis thing with Buckethead, Brain and various turntablists. Also Bill Laswell Material with Buckethead, Brain and a bunch of world musicians. And Les Claypool’s Bucket of Bernie Brains. One of my musical heroes.
