  Going second, you’ll have to decide if you want to condense your runick or prank kids engine (depending on the matchup) as well as the time tearing morganites. It’s really hard in general to side in almost any runick deck unfortunately, due to the huge main deck engine requirements

  I wanted to focus the deck on using girsu or harp as the only normal summons. Plus, as recent formats show, you don’t want to play a deck with too many normal summons, especially in a deck like Orcust where most people know to stop our normal summon.

  I know it’s a different take on an old classic, but I feel with the horus package We don’t need to bog our deck with cards that basically do the same thing as the horus package or droplets like dark Grepher.

  The combo didn't use skystriker. I don't see a point in the engine without mermaid. You have to be good and draw an orcust to get to combo..

  The sky striker engine is there to break boards and generate hand advantage via engage and your power spells. And you have plenty of ways to get to your orcust cards, including but not limited to, girsu, zombie vampire via the Horus engine, foolish burial, etc. the only reasonable line for the sky striker portion to get combo into Orcust is if you go hornet drones > Kagari > add back drones > activate drones > make dharc > crash dharc in bp to search girsu or harp OR hornet drones + harp or girsu or foolish burial

  I feel this build is more consistent, because in order to get the full power of the previous build, you needed to see assault Synchron and/or the bystial lubellion as much as possible. When you did, that build has the higher ceiling. However, when you don’t, it feels lackluster.

  The runick cards and Orcust cards are capable of breaking boards going second. However, I strongly recommend building your side deck for going second as well as siding out the Horus engine

  @@TeamArsenalYGO I am currently playing Chimera, and I am evaluating which "more sustainable" version exists to be able to exploit them, I am currently using the Branded Chimera version, but it does not allow complete synergy with the Horus engine, I think that with tri brigrade it would be ideal.

  So after seeing that d-link won worlds with just 1 magnamut. It's clear that just hitting magnamut isn't enough to check the deck. Striker dragon and quite honestly seals need to go. Striker dragon is a Link 1 combo starter and like most link 1's that facilitate a huge advantage combo wise it shouldn't be in the game. Runick tip should also be at 1 along with fountain. The overall design of the runick cards themselves Should never have been printed but tip and fountain shouldn't be at more than 1. Branded fusion definitely needs to go to 1 bcuz with the chimera package you're forced to ash the mirror knight in the matchup and that generates alot of hand advantage vs ash on the branded fusion

  Personally, I credit dragon links world success to the banlist it was played under, especially with a lot of the top decks in the TCG format being checked for worlds, especially Kashtira. However, I can see a Striker dragon head as well as a magnamhut hit. As far as runick goes, I wanted to keep the deck somewhat playable with tip to 2 but I agree 100% with your take about their overall design. And, after seeing how chimera branded is played, a branded fusion hit is definitely needed.

  My favorite deck to play was prank kids it was arguably one of the best combo decks of last year and got me a few tops at multiple case tournaments. As for the deck im playing this format until their is a bsnlist that shifts things to a new direction im playing pure unchained it has more room for hsnd traps and non engine cards to counter the current format plus tour guide package is insane

  @@TeamArsenalYGO I'm expecting kash, D-Link lab and runick to take a very hard hit which would definitely open up the format for other decks to take the helm. Salad is a solid option if misc goes to 2 I'll play dinos but like I said pure unchained still seems like a great pick
