You don’t have to turn the car back on to put in park from neutral. Just hit start/stop again and it will put itself in park

The transmission shifting when you open the door is also a thing on the F30. It shifts to park instead of neutral. I don't open the doors to park but I sometimes open the door trying to position the car on blocks so I can jack it up and of course that just causes it to go into park. Safety decision by BMW, probably could be coded out. My parents though got out of one of their cars in their driveway without putting it into park and the door bent back and scraped their other car front to back as it rolled down the driveway and into the neighbor across the street's yard lmao. So positives and negatives to having that feature.
Oh yeah I do remember that when I had my F30 and had the same slight annoyance with it trying to put it on blocks lol. Though since it has the button to put it in park, I didn’t find it as annoying since I didn’t need to put it back in drive to turn the car off. But yeah I see how it acts as a safety in the case of your parents haha.

On the same route. Going to have my f80 M3 in six years! Just bought an e90 this year! 2030! My question is for you. What do you think about the G chassis?
Yes I like this attitude 🙌🔥 I’m personally not a fan of the G-chassis. Other than the performance, I find all previous generations better. For me personally, I just like the old school look and feel of them. I don’t like/need all the high tech features and electric feel that you get with the new G-chassis. Unsure if I’d ever get one. But it’s really all personal preference.

I still have this car after 6 years and its been extremely reliable. I havent had anything major break/fail on me. Yet at least. Ive just delt with typical maintenance and some oil leaks from gaskets but thats it. I've never had to tow the car or anything. But this isnt everyones experience. I feel like I just got lucky with mine

Does this work on BMW models that didn’t come with Apple CarPlay from factory? Recently purchased a 4 series gran coupe
I believe the same company has an option to add carplay if yours doesn't have it. But its a different procedure and cost more. I got a 2011 328i E92 manual. Just recharged it 3 days ago with 3/4 of a can of the exact same stuff you used. My cabin is like a refrigerator now. Very happy. Hoping that it stays that way for a year. Question; there has been a weird humming noise coming from the engine just when the AC is on. Must be the compressor. I know that some some noise is normal but this seems about twice the normal sound. I was hopping that the recharge would get rid of that noise and it might have lowered it just a tad but it’s still noticeable. Does yours 328i seem like it has a loud compressor humming sound too?
Glad to hear it worked for you. Mine doesn't have a noticeable humming noise tbh. Unsure why it would be humming. Maybe just a noise from one of the spinning components
@@InlineSixAuto yeah initially thought that too but it’s only apparent when the AC is turned on. The best way to describe it is sounds like a vibration hum noise that is rhythmic. Kinda annoying 😏

I have a 2016 BMW F 80 and I bought the Evo Apple CarPlay plug and play from you. I got no signal but I can’t figure out what the dip is. If you’re able to make a video on step-by-step, or if you know a dip that the manual doesn’t tell you.
I believe the 2016 model stilll had the NBT idrive? Does original idrive system look the same as mine in the video?

my 2020 x5m50i ac temperature start to lose its cooling ability like your video. i am going to lose the warranty at the end of this year so i am worried that the dealership will just add more refrigerant but the real problem is that there is a leak in the AC refrigerant system and after few months the problem will be back again. please i would like to know how it is going on with you now after adding R-134A refrigerant. because i read that the when the ac is not working probably it is more than likely that the compressor is weakening and thats the main reason.
Mine is still pretty cold after almost a year. Your car is newer so if it’s already not blowing cold air, you probably have a leak somewhere or that part is failing already.
How much rpm were you pushing? Mine isn’t making much sound

These wouldn’t work since they are for F30 3-Series only. 4-Series headlights are different

How does this compare to MMI from BimmerTech? This unit is about half the price.
It is basically the same setup but it has different hosting software system for the carplay/android auto. From what I've gathered it works just as good

Do you only need to plug the microphone connector into the module? Or is there another connector on the opposite end of the mic wire that you have to plug in somewhere else?
You only need to plug in on the one end (The one I showed). If you use the aftermicrophone that comes with the kit, you plug it in the same spot

It's worth purging the air from your gauge and pipe before connecting to the low pressure port so you don't pump air into the system.
My 328i is 10 years old. I tried recharging but notice it didn't work. The air compressor seems to be fine, but the clutch is not spinning. So hopefully it's because I recharged it wrong and the lack of freon is the reason or maybe a leak.
