They don't work for Surf Rods you have to take the rubber off in order for the but of the rod to fit and you end up damaging the rod with the edge of the tube these are made for little fresh water rods I spent $100.00 on a pipe.

From what I see on the web site it just sits in thier. I went when Brocraft Aluminum Clamp on Rod Holder for Truck or Boat off amazon seems to ve a better system
