The rust on the welding is the only place where I see a need to look after, but it is easy accessible and at least 2 times per year you will have a look at it while changing tyres.

One of the most anticipating EV by me. Design and technology wise. Too bad, Polestar can't build these EVs cheaper. Their sales are stagnating while EV market is growing.

EV market is growing but not by expensive EVs like this. Its by cheaper EVs. They got it all wrong to begin with. The fact that they try to compete with tesla with a much more expensive car and not as proven is the dumbest thing I have seen. Now when even cheaper brands like BYD, MG, Nissan and such are coming with new models they will have an even harder time.

Var en kombination av att jag trodde att E6 skulle gå smidigare iom att prognosen varnade för busväder och på stugbytardag (söndag) så är det ofta kö på laddarna på svenska sidan. Det var det denna dag också (kollade av nyfikenhet status på de svenska laddarna när vi laddade i Norge). Skall normalt gå snabbare via E6 i Norge än via Sverige också.

Laddningen var faktiskt lite billigare i Norge men vägtullar gör ju den vägen dyrare än den svenska så ingen idé att välja Norge av ekonomiska själ. Maten också dyrare.

Did you take the Norwegian route only because of charger accessibility? Or is the Swedish route not so good in the winter?

The Norway route should be faster (even if slightly longer) because most of the route is motorway. I chose it partly because of charger availability but mostly because the weather forecast. I thought it would be better maintained/cleared because it is a mayor motorway. 😂😁 So that backfired! 😂😂 But charger availability was good! The places we charged had 40 and 46 stalls (and no queues)! 👍

Where was this??? I almost cried watching it. It’s almost Real!!! I was speaking with polestars support last week. My polestar 3 performance is due “starting quarter 2 2024” I’m Hoping that’s April! This is the longest wait of my life

Did the same trip last week, temperature was between - 2 and - 5. Didn't check stats on the way there but consumption on the way home was 18,9 kwh/100 km.

It takes me ages to decide which of the different possible MSP should I try this time so I pay the less and get the journey done in the shortest amount of time. And after that I start a competition with ABRP to see if I get a faster route than it . 🤪🤪🤪 But yes, I could simply sit on the car and drive away, but the planning is so much fun. 😎

That thing is imho beyond pointless. But it is so bloated that it will be almost impossible to build an European version.

It's no bigger than a ford lightning and it's back wheels move 10 degrees in either direction which gives it a better turning radius than most other vehicles not just trucks

For me is alway a question of what kind of car do I want/need. A e-Golf is a bigger car and an e-Up! is a smaller car, but in the used market all 3 can be found for similar prices, maybe the Golf might have more kilometres on the odometer.

Thanks for the input! I think the e-up is both less car and less range than the Zoe, so it is probably out. I really like the e-golf driving characteristics but I think the classic Ioniq is probably the best choice overall. The one thing that leans to the Zoe is it's bigger battery. I don't really care, because as a second car I really don't need the size/range and if I do a 5-10 min charge ain't a problem. But I plan to give the car to my mother in a near future and to get her to accept electric I think it needs to have a range so she can 100% get around with only charging at home without getting low on charge and get range anxiety. If it was only for me then I would probably not look at the Zoe. Do you drive electric yourself?

Yes, I do. I’m on my second EV. I started with an e-Golf, that made my wife change her mind on EVs. It really was a perfect car for the purpose. I see that you’re going for the most range for the buck, and the ZOE might be the right choice. Maybe you could find a Kona for the same money as a ZOE 50, but there still isn’t much to choose from in that price bracket.(Disclosure, in Sweden things might be different than in Germany).

I’m sorry but to me it looks like a ZEEKR 007 without a rear window. It’s full of design no-nos like that camera in the front with a black housing. Even if they have to use a Geely platform, I was expecting more freedom for Polestar for the exterior and interior design. The 5 will be more interesting but at the same time more expensive. 🤷♂️

I can agree in some ways. I think the interior is very much Polestar but the exterior is a little bit “use this, only change the bumpers and lights". Less sharp edges than other Polestars. Some might like it, some not. I agree that the 5 is gonna be beautiful, but more a expensive supercar than a practical EV.

Not a Zeekr007 but more a Zeekr001. It's the odd duck in the Polestar lineup as the rest look more like Volvos. I don't think it is the platform more than Polestar trying to get the car out quicker than if they spent more time with it. The Volvo EX30 proves you don't have to look like Zeekr as it looks much different than the ZeekrX, inside and out. The Polestar 5 is the Precept in production and maybe the 6 will be the production vs. of the concept as well. So, Polestar overall looks good. But I totally agree with you that the Polestar 4 is obviously Zeekr based and that's disappointing.

@@fossil_free The interior is Zeekr. in its framework but Polestar-ized.The whole layout of it is. A lot of the switchgear is. The seats are. The console. The vents. The landscape center screen vs. vertical in every other Polestar. Even the arm rest on the door. Compare the Polestar 3's interior to the 4. Big differences. Yes, the 3 has Volvo EX90 elements in it. But Polestsrs were always based on or shared with Volvo.
