    I studied mathematics, computer science, statistics, Asian studies and German studies, and that was good. It kept me employable all my life. Each of these subjects has a drawback: from the perspective of companies, mathematics is too theoretical and detached. Computer science has a value on the job market that only lasts a few years. The work of statisticians is increasingly being done by powerful IT tools. Instead of Asian studies, migrants are usually hired because they often demand lower wages. In the eyes of German HR managers, German studies is of no use at all. But all of them together enabled me to have a good life!

Well tough luck, We are in the new era now And we don't need a cult idea to progress our lives into a better future. Just cuz you label things as true makes it a true story old human. 🍷you are free to hate us or judge us, that's your freedom as you grow old and shriveled while we go out in the world to live our best life with out religious cults.

    On the contrary, Gen Z in Asia are moving towards religion. May be, Gen Z are seeking a more inclusive religion that makes sense. Eastern civilizations were always advanced in spirituality and they are rightfully rising to take their spot again- guiding the world to a better place. I encourage all Gen Z to study more about eastern religions and see if these religions fit their lifestyles and their beliefs. We have a dozen religions in the East- starting from Hinduism to Taosim.

    Respected Ma’am/Sir, First and foremost Happy Diwali to the whole ASU family!! I’m Vikramaditya from India. I’m a prospective student. And I’ve some queries regarding GPA on Non-4.0 Scale. Ma’am/sir, I am writing to seek clarification on a few matters regarding the application process for the upcoming fall-2024 intake. 1. Regarding my undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering, my university provided me with marks in percentage, resulting in a score of 5814 out of 8000, equivalent to 72.68%. Additionally, my university offers a conversion scale from percentage to CGPA. Could you please guide me on what to mention in the Grade Average section of my ASU application form? Specifically, which scale should I select? Furthermore, when attaching my undergraduate transcript, should I also include my CGPA conversion scale certificate? 2. Moving on to my master's degree, I achieved a score of 1271 out of 1600, which translates to 79.44%. Unfortunately, the university where I completed my Master's of Engineering degree does not provide a Percentage to CGPA conversion scale. In light of this, I am seeking guidance on whether ASU will handle the conversion or if I should utilize a service like Scholero to convert my GPA. I greatly appreciate your assistance and guidance on these matters. Your help in this regard will be invaluable as I work towards completing my application. Thank you for your time and consideration. 😊😊

    I am a lifelong scientist. The arts are essential to human survival. Without them, we become a society of people who do not even know what it means to be human. Violence and wars increase, crime goes out of control, and our relationships become loveless and transactional. People who are reducing arts departments in universities today will tomorrow shut down museums as well. Do not listen to these people and misguided politicians. The arts and humanities are what make us human. They teach us to think critically, to empathize with others, and to find beauty in the world around us. Support the arts in your community. Contact your elected officials and tell them to value the arts. The survival of our human race depends on it.

    Humanities degree is not worth the RoI

  • @Maxblack0099
    @Maxblack00998 ай бұрын

    This kind of thinking has lead to the problems we now face. When you only think of 'what will I get for this outlay?' we end up with a society whose highest motto is, "I'm alright, so I don't have to care about anyone or anything else." This lack of civic responsibility, lack of basic empathy for others, lack of willingness to think in any other terms but money, leads to the divided, tranquilized, and ultimately doomed society in which we now live. This attitude shows that those who have it never learned to share in kindergarten -- sad, really, for them. While the STEM fields (for a time, in some circumstances) might make you a living, only the Humanities can give you a life.

    Do classes run at a specific time that you tune into live, or are the lectures pre-recorded so you could watch them on your own time? I'm considering applying here, but I already work full-time throughout the day, so this is the main factor that'll decide whether or not it's feasible. And on that note, how do exams work?
