Actually, i was trying the carpet setup Mike Gee (i believe i got it off the teamxray site) posted from his win a few weeks earlier at 180 raceway in Baltimore . It wasn't bad on asphalt but i think the kit setup worked better for me. If you're racing asphalt, start with kit setup and play with springs and upper deck screws near the spur. Those screws actually can make a very noticeable difference in performance.

I've been using the kit setup at Cal Raceway and the car is just too loose. Last week I ran sweeps 24 R's and the car was still loose. I ordered the spring set today because the progressive front springs causes the rear to lose traction mid corner. Too bad it's raining. next week if I see your car I'll come talk to you.

@@leonjones605 yeah, bring it over. i'll get it working for you. the kit springs work pretty well. i normally go one to two steps stiffer in the rear to get more rotation

This setup is a Viktor Wilck (petitrc.com) setup from April last yes. It works really well. my only change is i'm using the kit ARS rear suspension. Viktor used standard rear hubs. I have to admit, i have not spent much time tweaking setup. This setup worked well but i'm sure it could be faster after a good test and tune session

Wow, excuse my ignorance but what kind of speeds are these cars hitting?
@oliverc3066 ай бұрын
The 21.5, USGT and 17.5 classes are doing 25-35mph. The modified class can do 50+ mph but on this track with a short straight, probably no more than 40.

Any tips on timing and gearing have that same motor in 21.5

i'm geared at 96/49 with can timing 52-53 deg. I usually tune the motors to 6amps so timing on can could be more or less
