Here's an interview with Hans Zimmer on the bagpipe sound: kzread.info/dash/bejne/a2d1k9Syk5C9h5M.html The sound's made using an electric guitar and some editing. No actual pipes involved. He also explains the reason why he put bagpipes in the weird future: Wherever you have goats and you have a piece of wood the goat better watch out. And on the piper in the movie: It's Hans Zimmer himself.

do you think anyone realizes that that ending phrase just doesn't work? The pipers play on the up beat and the drummers play right before in theory, being that the right flam is supposed to be a dotted rhythm but they end up playing these things as a band together....?!?!?! it's mental if you think about it. IT';s like Reid trying to play triplets in straths, it's like drummers playing 2/4 over 6/8 and we'll be forced to beg for mercy KYRIE ELESION that some day a band sill get this idea and the judges and go. They are just making money off of stupidity and we're all okay with staring at our phones smiling away not noticing we all look disgusting with our tight black pants and dogs and phones and double chins and make up and stupid forever and ever and it's not just America.

the very first thing you guys play is off. Great job. Doesn't everyone know those two notes are ON THE BEAT LIKE ON THE UP BEAT like I would say "ROLL ROLL TAP (SH) ROLL ROLL TAP (FOOT) "AND Ah" but these notes are quick like every other cut and dot rhythm pipe bands have been playing and will play forever Get it right. Grade one bands should not need to know this.
